12  Potion Bottles and Spell "Book"! in Halloween Decor and Parties by JadedJenn on: November 09, 2008 07:53:42 PM
These were for the 13 Days Of Halloween Swap. The cauldron is store bought.

The bottles say: Worm's Wart, Spider Venom, Cat's Tounge (my cat happened to be annoying me when I was trying to think of labels! LOL), Bat Brains, Deadly Night Shade and Frog's Breath

To make the labels I used a parchment colored cardstock and printed them out on my inkjet printer. I tore the labels and then burned the edges. (FYI: be VERY careful if you try this. I came close to burning my fingers a few times!) Next I Modge Podged the labels to the bottles. It's a very easy craft.

The book is a paper mch box that I got at Michael's. I just painted it. The picture doesn't show it, but it looks like it has yellowed pages.

Wow, I'm really impressed by the cool stuff people got in this swap!

I'm going to post pictures of everything that I made for KungFuGirlfriend.

Day 13 was decorated sugar cookies but I didn't take any pictures of them before they were sent.

Day 12:

There were 10 cards in all. I also sent a silver gel pen, a wax seal and some hot glue sealing "wax".

Day 11:

3 candle holders, and 3 pumpkin scented candles.

2 packets of hot chocolate, Halloween pez, smurfette dressed as a witch, and black sand to go in the candle holders.

Day 10:

5 ghosts (their eyes glow in the dark)

5 polymer clay bats

Day 9:

Polymer clay earrings and necklace. They glow in the dark.

Polymer clay cat earrings and necklace.

Polymer clay pumpkin earrings and necklace.

Spider earrings.

Ghost and pumpkin hair clips.

Day 8:

6 potion bottles, a spell "book" (it's really a box) and a cauldron.

Day 7:

An embroidery kit, including; 2 towels, thread, a hoop, needles, spooky transfers, fold-up scissors, and a book.

Days 6, 5 and 4: (I don't remember which was for what day! LOL I lost my master list.)

Test Tubes.

Halloween frame.

Another frame, this time crafted by me.

A coffin shrine. I think this is one of my favorite things I made for this swap!

A shelf sitter.

A shadow box.

Haunted house candle holder.

Tombstone chalkboard.

Knitting kit, including; 3 skeins of yarn, needles, a knitting book and a spooky pattern.

A pumpkin wreath. (It's store bought)

Felt pumpkin doorknob hanger.

Set of 4 fabric coasters.

Felt pumpkin pushie.

"Boo" wall/door hanging.

"Spooky" wall hanging.

Day 3:

A painted wooden tray with mosaic tiles.

A wreath. This picture didn't turn out so great. It has battery operated led lights.

I also sent a huge scrapbooking kit for day 3. I forgot to tell my husband to upload the picture though.  Roll Eyes

Day 2:

Two pillows with Halloween pillow cases. I LOVE the fabric I used for these!

This is an item based off of something on partner's Wist. I was really pleased with how it turned out.

Day 1:

I think this is tied with the coffin shrine as my favorite. Originally I was going to make a grave yard scene. The witch turned out too big though.

Sorry about all the pictures but I spent a lot a time on this stuff and wanted people to be able to see it.  Wink

Did you notice the bed has a special surprise?

LOL I didn't notice! Good thing you mentioned it! It turns into a bag. Very cool.  Grin  I'll have to post another picture of it "transformed" later.

Here it is as a bag. It's so pretty! I love the ribbon.

On the 13th day of Halloween, Kungfugirlfriend gave to me:

A scrapbook kit! Including:
-6 pieces of paper
-2 packages of homemade confetti (pumpkins and leaves)
-Halloween ribbon
-Stickers (with googly eyes!)
-a pumpkin paper punch
And an awesome case for it all!

Day 12:

12 yummy Resse's Peanut Butter Cups! I was a nice wife and shared them with my hubby.  Grin

Day 11:

11 fun and kitschy goodies!

-A disgustingly realistic finger pen
-A ghost key chain (it's eyes flash and it makes noise)
-2 Zombie finger puppets
-A wind-up hopping eyeball
-2 rats
-A spider that gets bigger in water
-2 candy flavored lip balms
And a scull and crossbones ice tray!

I am having so much fun playing with all my new toys!! I love them all but my favorites are the keychain, the eyeball and the ice tray.

Day 10:

Cute hair clippies! There are 5 sets. Here is what they have on them if you can't see; spiders, ghosts, pumpkins, moons and stars, and a bats with moons.

Day 9:

9 yummy smelling soaps. Some are skull shapes and some are pumpkin. They are berry and green apple scented. I seriously have to keep reminding myself that they are soap because they smell so yummy I want to eat them! There is one missing from the picture because it is down in my shower.

Day 8:

More various goodies!

- Glow in the dark skull stickers
- A cool witch candle
- 3 fabric covered pins
- 2 pairs of earrings that match some of the clippies I got for day 10

I'm so excited! I just sent in my questionnaire.

I found this picture today of me and my doll. I've had her since 1983.

I had to share the cuteness.  Cheesy
