Well done! He looks adorably frozen in the pics. My Hubs had to wear an eyepatch as a child, he is very jealous his was standard issue white.

I can see why you snagged those. They look awesome with the new paint!
They made me think of these shades my sister has:

First, thanks to all you craftsters! I really appreciate the feed back, if I ask the hubs all I get is "looks good".

very cute dress. im a bit confused by the pre-school rules though, i have never heard of clothing rules for pre-shoolers before?

I was a bit confused by the rules myself. The girls even have to wear shorts under their skirts! It's because our preschool is run by the school district and the dress code is for all students in the district pre-k to grade 12. It still seems a bit puritanical to me.

Wow, I can't believe I haven't posted anything since February! (I guess pregnancy has affected me more than I thought.) I started this dress around then and finally got around to finishing it today. I had to tweek my original design as halter tops are not allowed at preschool and straps have to be at least 2 inches wide. This started as a handmade mens shirt from our local goodwill. I saw the fabric and had to have it. As you can see Anabel likes it alot and wants to wear it to school tomorrow.

8  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Valentine's Day / Preschool Valentines on: February 11, 2009 10:58:51 AM
This is my daughter's first year in preschool and she is very excited about Valentine's Day. She wanted to make special Valentines for everyone in her class so we got out the Shrinky-Dinks. I traced a medium sized heart shaped cookie cutter on to the plastic she colored them in with Prisma pencils. We sealed them with some Krylon spray and glued the pinbacks on with E6000. It was pretty easy and took about an hour, luckily there are only 23 kids in her class.

She's super excited to bring them to school and pass them out.

Thank you all for the kind comments!

Those Christmas bulbs really rock! they make me wonder if mini liquor bottles would work.

Mini liquor bottles is pure genius!

So I made some more resin and finally am getting around to posting. The bales are attached with E6000 and I used plastic tubing instead of leather to string them. (Love our furry friends!)

These are the extra bulbs from my Christmas lights

And these are just some scrap paper I had in the stash

and this one is some confetti Chey Elizabeth sent me
