1  CITY GUIDES FOR CRAFTSTERS / LATIN AMERICA / Re: Loving Mxico!! on: December 20, 2011 09:54:27 AM
Hi! Name's Mag, I've been an off/on Craftster user for a while now (because I lost my password and my email's password and so on...) I live in DF but I'm from the north (s seor!). Since I moved here recently, I don't know where to buy any sort of materials. I read a comment about Fantasas Miguel, and I'm taking a small trip today to check it out, but are there any other places?

Anyway, its very cool to know there are other mexican craftsters Cheesy ((hugs))

5  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Discussion and Questions / Re: Too many magazines on: November 18, 2008 01:52:19 PM
I had this same problem two days ago :p

You could:
-Make gift bows http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=247280.0
-Envelopes
-Collages
-Do the decoupage thingy with candle holders/frames/coasters
-Pretty book covers
-Origami (it would end up thrown away anyways, but it'd be fun)
-Decoupage the inside of cabinets , like http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=279097.0
-A basket http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=277720.0
-Bookmarks
-A mobile http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=246577.0 (I particularly love the butterflies one)
-A curtain (with little origami figures)

Or a bonfire :0 Pretty, but sadly not very ecological.

Hope it helped Smiley
6  HOME SWEET HOME / Interior Decorating: Discussion and Questions / Choosing a color palette help, please!!! on: November 18, 2008 08:29:12 AM
I wanted to know if there are any 'rules' for choosing a color palette for, say, a bedroom. For example, in clothing it's said to be best to combine three different colors instead of going monochrome or using four. Is there such a thing with interior design?

If you want a more specific question, here it is :p My bedroom has opaque green walls, baby pink furniture, a green couch, some brown furniture, a brown ceiling fan, white floor, white ceiling, black frames, light yellow closet doors (which take up an entire wall), and long golden-ish curtains. (Too many colors---> EEK!!! And they're all very soft--->EEK+1!!!) The curtains are new so I have to keep them and their golden color in the palette. Same goes with the white. Anything else, I could paint, though I don't have lots of money to buy lots of paint. (So I'd rather not have to paint the walls or closet ^^; )

Thanks in advance!! Cheesy
7  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Discussion and Questions / Re: Happy Journal on: March 25, 2008 04:10:40 PM
I love this idea. I try to do this everyday, and I've become more of a positive person lately. Sometimes it's a long story (like going out with friends), sometimes it's just a song I like a lot, or the sky, or a massage, or when the good guy gets the girl, or anything at all.  Grin
8  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Discussion and Questions / Re: "What do YOU Journal About?!" Ideas thread! on: January 19, 2008 04:06:10 PM
Hiii everyone! Smiley This thread never fails to inspire me.

However, I notice my journals are mostly writing. Soooo repetitive. A drawing or teo here and there, but mostly words. Visuals are gorgeous, they make everything more pleasing to the eye. (That's my opinion, at least) But they require so much hunting around for materials! Suddenly I find myself needing scissors and glue and markers and watercolors and it's too much work for me. (Though I'd love to include more visuals)

Anyone else has this "problem"?

Also, what do you do when your journals are full? Do you show them around, burn them, lock them away for future reference, forget about them...?
I just finished my first journal and it feels great. I started another one and I'm wondering what to do with them as I fill them up.
