21  a different sort of bookmark in Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General by boadicea on: July 28, 2008 07:52:02 AM
I made this today and wanted to share.

I put instructions and a template up on my blog but I imagine you could make it with envelopes, too.

Enjoy!

22  turning buttons into brads? in Trinkets and Jewelry: Discussion and Questions by boadicea on: June 30, 2008 07:28:14 AM

I searched but couldn't find anything on this. I made these buttons but I want to have the back be a brad, not a button. I've tried to disassemble the button back and insert a brad through it before mounting, but it didn't work. I'd really rather not glue, I want it to be more permanent. Can anyone tell me how to do this?

Thanks!

23  little winter diorama in Winter Holidays by boadicea on: December 04, 2007 05:31:48 AM
I made this with a small vintage jewelry box. It had a transparent lid with the gold decoration. I also used vintage plastic deer and made a spiral Christmas tree out of silver pipe cleaner. There's a snow scene in the back, a little batting for snow and a sprinkle of white glitter for effect. It was hard to get a good picture because of the glare. It's about 3 x 2 1/2 inches and so much fun to make!

24  felt bird ornaments in Winter Holidays by boadicea on: November 18, 2007 10:28:24 AM
Here's some small felt bird ornaments I finished today. The smallest is about 1 1/2 inches long. The largest is about 2 1/4 inches. I finished them with random found jewelry bits and a ribbon. Each one took about 15 minutes to make.

Let me know what you think.
