1  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Re: My first embroidered piece! NSFW: needleworked boobie ahead on: September 08, 2009 01:28:57 PM
That looks awesome! I'm also a fan of the faceless figure, I think it adds a certain quality to it.  Nice job!
2  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Meet Paperbag Head on: September 08, 2009 01:16:58 PM
I went through a "thing" after my last breakup and ended up with this guy.  It stemmed from my desire to stick a paperbag on my head, lol.  I realize it's a little odd, but I found it rather therapeutic at the time.  I introduce you too, PaperBagHead (PBH):

PBH likes to dress in drag and pee sitting down.

PBH loves the forty.

PBH can't cry so he pees instead.

PBH loves bacon.

3  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / Learning to Crochet... On to the Cuteness! on: September 08, 2009 01:03:17 PM
I am teaching myself to crochet using the "Amigurumi World: Seriously Cute Crochet," book.  I'm not a hundred percent sure that I am doing it right, but I figure learning is half the fun.  I realize I am a little late in the game with these, but figured I would share anyway and maybe it would motivate me to make some more.

I also made the monkey, which is in the hands of my ex and sadly I have no pictures...and no bf, lol. =P

On to the cuteness!

5  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Re: Birdie Flowery Picture Frame Goodness on: December 05, 2008 01:49:06 PM
Thanks, I did actually put a matte paint sealant on. I realized, though, that I still needed something to ensure that the paper parts were going to stay on...do you have any recommendations?

8  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Birdie Flowery Picture Frame Goodness on: December 05, 2008 01:03:39 PM
This is one of those cheap $1 wooden frames from Michael's.  I painted it with acrylic paint, and then added some pictures from an old childrens book that i saved from the garbage.  Unfortunately, since it's so cheap there is no glass for the frame, but I'm still happy with my little frame anyway.  And it was good a fun cheap little project. I was actually thinking about doing some for Christmas presents, but I don't know...what do you think? Thanks for looking!
