1  Halloween / Halloween Costumes / My Silent Hill Nurse Costume on: November 06, 2011 04:42:05 PM
My boyfriend loves video games, so this year he wore a Sub Zero (Mortal Kombat) costume and I accompanied him as the nurse from the game Silent Hill....

I got a standard nurse costume from a store dyed it with Cuban coffee (American coffee didnt work for some reason)  Grin I later rubbed the dress, leggings, and some gauze with fake blood. I cut the dress in strategic places to make it look worn out. I took some white shoes and rubbed in some fake blood and brown paint....

here is what they look like  Shocked

And last I made the mask from an old magazine, mod-podge, paper napkins, gauze, fake blood, brown paint, and finished it with a gloss clear acrylic sealer.

I scared a few kids and grossed out a couple teens, I got complements from all of my friends so my costume this year was a success.  Grin
2  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / "Dolores" the Tiger Shark! on: August 11, 2010 07:32:05 PM
Last week was "Shark Week on Discovery", and the geek in me was super inspired, so set myself to make the most awesome Tiger Shark ever!

To make lovely 'Dolores" I used this pattern: http://www.ullrykka.de/iblog/B567792918/C947144548/E20070508153639/index.html

I added some blue stripes, a second dorsal fin, a pelvic fin, and an anal fin (lol....XD) to make this pattern look like an authentic Tiger Shark....

Isn't she Lovely.....I think she is!!!!

7  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / "Domo" arigato "Mr. Roboto" DOMO!!! on: March 25, 2010 12:01:32 AM
HEHE Grin

A friend asked me to make her a "Domo" so since I don't know how to make my own patterns, I looked around online and to my surprise I didn't find a single free pattern for a "DOMO".

I had almost given up when I found this kool Ninja pattern and TADA!

BTW this is the website I found the Ninja!
http://www.rheatheylia.com/index.php?page=patterns&id=4

This two friends found each other after a night of partying to "Styx".

I made the Robot last week from the awesome book called "Amigurumi Two"....

Oh and I made a little mistake that caused for poor little Domo to have one leg smaller than the other so I'm going to have to make another one!!! Tongue

8  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / Mighty Dragon & Golden Snitch on: December 06, 2009 10:37:49 AM
I made these for a swap, i found the pattern for the Golden Snitch online and the pattern for the Dragon on a book I had...The most difficult part of making the Dragon where the hands and feet the pattern was really confusing. It took me a while but i got it and finally finished it, I was really proud of my self when i was done.

I loved the wings on the Golden Snitch so i gave some to the dragon as well.

9  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / Add Structure with Cuter Walking Rope on: October 22, 2009 08:19:01 PM
I work with children with Autism and they are having difficulty lining up, to create some structure i wanted to make a walking rope....the ones i saw online were pretty plain and not very pretty so i made my own...Its long enough for 9 children, it can be separated into 3 sections, and the loops are stuffed with poly-fil...

The teachers at my job loved it so I'm making more, in different color and adding some glitter and decorations ^^

I took these pictures in a hurry so they don't look very good...

Thanks for looking ^^
10  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Completed Projects / Little Sackboy People on: February 17, 2009 02:42:30 PM
Little Big Planet is my Boyfriends favorite new game and since i had some polymer clay left over i made him and his friends SackBoy keychains....I just gave them to him on Valentine's Day and he was really impressed with my skills hehehe...i was really happy that he liked them because i was starting to think i gave him a crappy Valentine's Day gift.

The first one i made was the original SackBoy

then i made a SackBoy Bunny and a ScackBoy Kenpachi (character from "Bleach")

Aren't they cute....i am going to keep making SackBoy people because they are so cute!!!

Thank you for looking
