1  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Fav Children's Book Round 4?? on: March 27, 2007 10:09:53 AM
Anyone interested in doing this one again? Where you send a copy of your favourite children's book to your partner and they make crafts related to it?
I couldn't organize or and maybe not even participate, most likely, due to my poor time management, but I would love to see great results.

2  NEWS AND DISCUSSION ABOUT CRAFTSTER / Suggest New Boards and New Features / To Do List! on: February 10, 2006 02:22:18 PM
I think it would be cool if each member had their own personal To Do list.
Because I could sure use one, because sometimes if I have to PM someone about a swap or something, I just can't remember if I have! But sometimes I have and then I do it twice.

Say I needed to PM Sally because she was organizing the swap that I had just received an item from. But I didn't have time when I was on Craftster, because, you know, some of us are busy people.
So I would write:
PM Sally about receiving Juice Swap.

Or you could also do:
Post new socks that were just knitted.
So you don't forget.

Mods might benefit from it too, especially if they have a zillion things to do and no time to do them in one sitting.

What do you think?

4  Calls for Swap Angels / Swap Angel Archive / Friendship Bracelet Swap, One angel FOUND (Thank you night_owl!!) on: January 10, 2006 08:52:18 PM
Technically, the Sign-Ups ended today for Friendship Bracelet Swap but one person has stepped out.
So, this isn't really an angel post. I need someone who lives in the United States to step into her spot, send a friendship bracelet to four different people and they, in return will receive four bracelets.
So really, you will be a member of the swap. I would be so grateful to whoever steps in, because I really did not plan for the first swap I would organize to roll out like this!!!
So yes, the group you would be in is all people from the US, because these members specified they did not want to send out of their own country.

The thread can be found here: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=69991.0

Please PM me ASAP if you are interested.

THANK YOU SO MUCH TO night_owl WHO HAS GRACIOUSLY STEPPED IN!

PS: I'm also very sorry to The Meow Wont Purr and PinkMafia if this isn't allowed, I just didn't know what else to do, I didn't want to shuffle everyone around and change who everyone was sending to.

5  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / FRIENDSHIP BRACELET SWAP (SIGNUPS CLOSED!; MAIL BY 01/24/06) on: December 27, 2005 11:25:28 AM

All ages allowed? Or 18+? All ages.

Details of swap:
This is the swap for the idea that was introduced here:
http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=56593.0

Everyone will be making 4 bracelets to send out to four different people, thus getting 4 in return.  I hope everyone's okay with that. There is two weeks to sign up and then two weeks to make and send your bracelets away. These shouldn't take that long so I'm hoping no one flakes or is late, because this swap is fairly short and simple.

I've provided links to How-To's if there are some of you that need a refresher, or you're just out of ideas.

As for mailing, I think it should be fairly cheap because you could probably sneak a bracelet into regular envelopes, unless yours is heavy for some reason And you will not need to get DC.
If you have any comments or questions, post here or PM me.
This should be fun!

6  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Friendship bracelet swap? (Link to SIGN-UPS included!!!) on: October 04, 2005 06:33:34 PM
SIGN-UPS started: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=69991.0! Come and join!

Anybody remember those ones we all used to make with thread and those "4" knots? What if we all made one and sent it to someone? They are so light, we could probably send then in regular envelopes for very minimal postage.
Any takers?
Now, I can't organize, if there are folks that want to do this, and I also can't be in it, prob. until the end of November (when my first swap finishes).
But I would be willing to organize, come January maybe? Unless you guys want to do it before Christmas.
Anyway, yep.
EDIT:
Just because I'm bored. But they do not need to be that complicated. I can't even make them that complicated.

7  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / What the heck can I do with THIS? / Slurpee cup lids? on: September 21, 2005 08:34:59 PM
So, I work with a Sparks unit (Girl Guides, 5 and 6 year olds) and one of the leaders has a whole bunch of slurpee cup lids? Any ideas? Even if you have complex ideas, go ahead and post 'em! Any ideas would be just fine!
THANKS!

PS: Just in case someone doesn't know exactly what I mean... the roundish ones... not the flat ones.
8  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Random Acts of Strangeness Postcard Swap 2? on: September 01, 2005 01:38:16 PM
I was just wondering if there is going to be a RASPS 2? Because I missed out on the first one and it sounds like fun... However I can't organize it and if it is held too early, I also can't participate, but I just wanted to pull it out of the back of everyone's minds.

EDIT:
This kind of fell away from us. So I'm posting links to the first one.

10  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / Talk About The Swap Process / Another question about the bad swappers list. on: April 01, 2005 12:23:57 PM
So you get on it. Because you were a bad swapper. Can you get off it eventually? (I'm not on it, I don't even know anyone on it. I was just wondering.)

EDIT: I PMed Goddess but people have also posted very helpful responses here. Thanks!
