1  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Misc. Gift Idea Brain Blockage / Re: 5th Year Anniversary on: August 07, 2008 10:15:50 PM
i made something like this for my ex. well, i never finished it, we ended up breaking up before i could, but..

i took a deck of cards and wrote on each reasons and little pictures of why i loved him, i binded one side, so you could open it like a book. sometimes the cards have a shiny surface though and some glues don't stick too well, but its an idea! =]

what am I to do with these? there like oversized toothpicks.
I'm guessing that i have 1000 or more, because i have this box that says 1000, and then a plastic bag with some more, i put the ones in the bag in the box and they barely fit.

i was thinking about making some kind of sculpture or something, maybe it will help my future portfolio? I'm in many art classes, and i want to go to some kind of art school, not sure which kind yet though.. I know art schools like to see a diversity in materials used..

someone help with ideas? or maybe other suggestions on what to do with these?

I know a guy who loves doing that stuff, he makes things out of the bones.. he said he finds animals in the woods or wherever, so he doesnt kill them.. last i remember he found a cat in tact.. anyway, i remember him saying he boils the bones if that helps at all?

haha, i think i meant to post a different picture actually, i think it was just like that one, only her face was turned more to the left so you couldn't see as much of it, i cant find it so i'm guessing it got deleted =(

The photo of Ellie (the cat) is a RAW file I converted to an HDR and then manipulated, but it didn't really seem to make much of a difference from the original photo.  Oh well.

Maggie and Ellie should be friends! Cheesy

My hubby and I were out watching the eclipse and taking a few time lapse shots.  One turned out I think pretty cool.  At first I thought it was a cloud, but it is too bright, so I don't know what it is.

Me thinks it may be a Klingon ship decloaking....

the camera moved as the picture was taken.. cameras record where the light is, thats why you see the "cloud" in the black (sky)
