Thanks for the kind comments everybody!!

Hey lovely Ralph, glad you liked it!  Cheesy

I'm still tempted by the evil try-it-out-(oops,itlooksworse)-devil  Tongue to see how it looks with grout, but maybe sanity prevails...  Roll Eyes

HSG, not sure if you'll check back on this thread, so I should probably try the glass board : Does sealing the glass change it's surface from matte to shiny? That might be nice, they have much more vibrant colours when they are wet... Thanks so much for the advice!!

Here's my entry to the lights competition!

It is made out of a cheap and appropriately wave shaped glass lamp from Ikea, which I have glued found sea glass onto. Incredibly, I found enough sea glass for this project during an one hour hunt on the beach - people throw a lot of stuff in the sea around here!!

Here's a picture of the work in progress:

The project was inspired by a tealight holder I made for the lovely Ralph in the FOUND! swap - but i couldn't send it because the grouting didn't work out!

I haven't decided if I should try grouting this one or not - I think maybe not as I don't want to spoil it - I like it as it is! What do you think? Grout or no grout? Any comments welcome!!

I like that, lovely lacey fabric! Very ghostly and I love how the light comes up from the neck!
29  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Re: Anatomy/Medical swap? on: May 01, 2008 04:04:59 AM
Great idea - I'm very interested, I love that kind of imagery!!

I have a house move (+ 10 month baby whizzing around the house like greased lightning!!) kind of crazy chaos at the moment, so I can't take on too much though. But if it's got reasonably long crafting time, and/or not too many 'points' I'd love to play!  Grin

Ooooo, have to have a look!  Cheesy Thanks for the tip.

I was thinking that the tea cozy swap might be a good build-up for this swap...  Wink Still not sure if I have time to join it, but I am tempted!!
