1  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Granny dress to cute nightie:). on: May 16, 2008 12:12:24 PM
I got this dress...sorry no before pics.  It was a typical granny dress...high scoop neck, short sleeves, no shape or style...but I loved the fabric.

I cut the top off, folded it inside, and top stitched it. Then I made straps and a ruffle from the excess.  Since it is a knit, I didnt even hem the ruffle or the nightie.

6  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Fat Quarter Bag on: February 21, 2008 08:40:00 PM
This pattern comes from a book by  by M'Liss Rae and holds tons of stuff.  I used it as a weekender and had lots of room.  They were designed to tote queen-sized quilts in...the construction is pure genius.

Thanx for lookin:).

8  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / New Tote Bag on: February 20, 2008 11:08:01 PM

This is what I did today:).

The lining is a dark blue(like Dorie) and I put in an orange polka dot pocket on the inside.

I used fusible fleece and free-motion quilted the outer fabric.

Thanx for looking:).

9  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / I found Nemo! on: February 18, 2008 02:40:53 PM
I made this darlin~ lil bag last night.  Don't let it's cuteness fool you...by 3 a.m., I had affectionately named it the 'bag from h-e-double toothpicks'!

Only after sewing in the lining did I realize the handles were sewn wrong...so I ripped it out.  Then, I re-sewed the lining back in- inside out!  So Nemo is a little shorter than intended because I refused to frog(rippit) again.  I CUT it down!  S-h-h-h-h...

Good news is that it's done and I adore it!

Today I am grateful that Nemo didn't ultimately cause me a trip to the psych ward:).
