1  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / Money DOES grow on Trees! on: August 23, 2012 08:02:56 PM
On of the girls at work is flying off to the Bahamas to get married and we work with mostly men. We wanted to do something for her so we surprised her with a lunch today and this money tree. It has $225.00 on it! She was thrilled!

I would definitely do this again, so much fun and so well received!

2  QUILTING / Quilting: Completed Projects / this just makes me HAPPY on: June 19, 2012 12:20:20 PM
I made this for onegroovyday in the MAQ5 swap. She had a painting on pinterest and she had put in the description “this just makes me HAPPY” so I went with it.
It is all appliquéd by hand and it measures 26 ¼ X 14 ¼. I machine quilted around the tree and houses.

6  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Dora and Boots on: October 07, 2011 09:46:20 PM
My granddaughter has loved all of my hoops that I have received in the hoopla swaps so I made this one for her. It has been hanging around unfinished for a few months so I finished it last night!

She has given me a list of more hoops to go with it! I am so glad she loves my crafts, now we are going to start her a hoopla wall all her own!

7  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Beaded Buttony Hoop on: July 12, 2011 04:14:33 PM
I made this for TheSapphireMoon in the I love Buttons swap. She makes alot of trees so I figured she must like them. After I decided on a tree I found out that she LOVED rainbows so I decided I had to have a rainbow with the tree. Next challenge the hoop, a round hoop wasn't cutting it so I had to go with an oval... so here it is 12 x 20! (figuring out a box to ship is another story). I tried using buttons for the rainbow and I just didn't like how it looked. One of my co workers suggested beads... beads, I have a TON of beads so I went to work! There are 2500+ seed beads in this hoop in the rainbow and the tree, it is a little blingy and I like it! TSM did too!

thousands of beads

Here are some close ups that TSM took

I really enjoyed making this! Thanks for looking!
