6  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Two hats and a sort of wrist warmer! on: October 20, 2008 09:26:12 AM
I am new to crochet, but am currently addicted.  Love making hats, handy as I have Alopecia and hate wearing my wigs, so usually wear a scarf or hat.  Belinda, my lovely model, has a much smaller head than me, so they are more snug on me, (no embarrassing moments when out in windy weather!!   Embarrassed Embarrassed )

The Gold and Blue one is all single crochet, with 2 bands of double crochet, for the ribbons.  The butterfly one, is all half doubles, trimmed with narrow ribbon.  Both are done in cotton.

The arm warmers are not very good, but warm, they were 4 rows of single and then 3 rows of double crochet,  you can't really see it, but there are 3 rows of single crochet on the back of each hand from the thumb. They are done in a some kind of acrylic.

I made them up as I went along, but did watch a video on  Utube to help with the hats and went from there.  sorry can't remember which one.

Comments, advice etc, very welcome, thank you xxx
7  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Brave or Fool hardy? Here is my first post! on: August 22, 2008 02:50:03 PM
Sorry about the photos, it was late and Quinn was very sleepy.

Made with two different upholstery fabrics, bought from local Charity shop.
This is the first Handbag I have ever made, harder than I thought!  Next time, will use a pattern, then maybe it will be easier...

Thanks for looking, Quinkes xx
