so sorry about your mother.  as a crafter I totally love anything from loved ones that is crafted and have finished several projects of loved ones and those are some of my favorite! 

I made ornaments like this for last christmas....just a thought.  You could give them away as little gifts, use them as tags, and everytime they get them out family will think of you and your Mom.

love this!!!!  We have been budgeting and being frugal for about 1 and 1/2 years. I love it...sure I miss TV and things but I get a lot more done! LOL! 

I am going to try to make some soap...we will see, do you know if you can add a little sent, maybe a essential oil or something.

My hubby made me a cutting table from an old door set on some wood. I covered it in a vinyl table cloth on one side and fabric on the other.  The handle hole makes a nice place to run cords for my iron and things.  I stapled a tape measure along the front too.  It is awesome and he enjoyed making it for me...super simple!

I haven't ever participated in one of these swaps and have a few questions...

Birthday girls list things and people send them...? Obviously Birthday Girls have to send a gift or two, too?  Is it really that simple?  I was looking to send a gift last month, but it just got away from me and these boards are always so "complicated" to me. 

I am a January Baby and my dh, bless his heart!, is not any good at gifts...I have 2 coffee table books about Cats....sure I have a cat, but she is an alley cat and well...you get the idea LOL!! He is a great husband otherwise.  I am training our 2 year old to help me as she gets older...I think he will improve as she ages! LOL!!! Diamonds, Diamonds shinnier the better, right ladies! LOL!

Oooh I am intrigued!  I can't wait to see this!  I have one suggestion.  Like the previous post says about bead color...think of it like pain color.  If you are covering a large area and know you will be using lots of packs of the same color and can't find it in bulk...buy all you need and mix them so if there is variation it become less noticable over the whole work rather than at one side of the work than the other...I hope that helps. a little even!  good luck!
