31  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Scrapbooking: Completed Projects / Re: New Pages on: August 12, 2008 01:49:01 PM
Those are awesome! I had to comment because me and my boyfriend of almost a year (and I'm making him a scrapbook for our anniversary, haha) fell in love at boyscout camp too. Only I didn't work there. But I was the first person in the seven years that he worked there to visit him, besides his parents. We love the outdoors too. I like how they're simple pages but they seem to say so much! Great job!  Grin
32  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Winter Holidays / Gifts For Far Away Friends on: November 16, 2007 09:39:17 PM
Alright! My first post here! Woo!  Shocked Anyways, haha. Hi. I have an idea I would love to run by you awesome awesome people. I have two very close friends who live very far way. We are going to exchange gifts this Christmas, and I have some ideas for them, but I am not too sure. (They would both be getting the same thing since I am really tight up for cash.)
1.) Since I live in Michigan and it's a pretty unique place, I thought maybe I would make a scrap book about where I live, and with a few pictures of me and my everyday life (house, friends, boyfriend, pets, family, work, school, whatever.) Do you think that's cute or just too cheesy and full of myself? Neither of these girls have been to see my house (long story).
2.) I just bought a Knifty Knitter I would love to break in, however, one friend lives in Georgia and I don't think it would be very practical for her to wear. Any ideas on what else I could make? I bought a rectangular one, btw.
3.) One of my friends just got into cooking, and I thought about making her a recipe book (just turning a scrap book or photo album into one, and including some recipes from my grandma in it, along with pictures.) But again, this leaves my other friend hanging. I know she's going to school be a Vet Tech, so she loves animals, but I am not sure what I could whip up for her.
Any other cute ideas that are cheap, or even not so cheap? I am trying to stay away from the old stand by of cookies. I love them, but they don't ship so well! Thanks for all your help!  Kiss
