1  Two More Pictures in More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works by 1toughcookie984 on: October 05, 2009 11:16:20 PM
Ok, so I made two picture posts about three months ago (roughly around the end of July). Your kind and wonderful words have inspired me to post two more of my pictures that I am currently in love with. (And that's actually pretty hard for me to say because I usually don't like anything I take a picture of haha!) I've been busy since I posted those last few pictures (moved, had a death in the family, finished college, all of that wonderful "grown-up" stuff. Anyways, a little background before I post.

Like I said, I moved! Yay! I moved from Michigan to Arizona. A tiny, tiny, tiny town about forty miles away from the Mexican border, to be exact. So, to go to anywhere with a little bit of life (and stores open after 8 PM) you have to travel at least an hour and a half. Those cities would be Phoenix or Tucson, and all of the surrounding ones. Like, Chandler. This last Saturday, to celebrate a friends birthday, me and two friends went to a mall, to hang out, get out of our sleepy town, and to do what some girls do best - shop! Anyways, here are the to pictures with explanations below them.

This one is called "Peppermint Mocha". I do love coffee, but am not that hard-up for Starbucks. However, it had been about three months since I had my last one, so I decided to treat myself. I truly wasn't trying to get the text from the cup perfectly in front, I was more focused on getting the cup centered in the picture. I also wanted to get some texture from the table, since it was kind of neat and a little weathered.

This one is called "Leggo My Lego's!" and was taken in the Lego store. They had these cool bins in the back of the store, filled with all sorts of colors and shapes of Lego's. I couldn't find purple, so the next best thing was lime green! I literally just stuck my camera in the bin and snapped a picture. I love it when it's that easy!

C+C welcomed, as it will only help me get better! Thanks for looking!  Grin

Yes! It's another photo manipulation. I used my own photo, GIMP, and this tut! Next time I plan on doing it in color, adding some scabs and some blood. My next project after that will be to turn myself into a mermaid! Enjoy!

C+C welcome!  Smiley

3  Peektures By Me in More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works by 1toughcookie984 on: July 19, 2009 08:02:24 PM
Ok so, I am SUPER nervous about posting my pictures here. One, they aren't very good. Two, I just used a simple point and shoot. Three, I'm not very good at much, but I think I might have an ounce of talent for photography, I just don't know if I stand the hear the criticism. (Yea, then I probably shouldn't be posting, right? Right, LoL Cheesy) Ok, so here is some of my work, half black and white, and half color. Please do feel free to comment and even to constructively criticize. Most of all, enjoy!

This was taken of me running my fingers through my hair. I mostly like it because it makes my bangs look like they are a lot lighter than the rest of my hair, when they really aren't.

This was taken out by my (future) in-laws cottage. I do believe I used the "Macro" setting for this one. I just loved the green/purple/orange combo.

This is my favorite image taken when I was in St.Louis last summer for a job.

One my favorite shots from my trip to New Mexico in March.
I also do have a deviantart page, which I can give to anyone wanting to look at more of my stuff, or just to have a friend there. Thanks!
