1  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Discussion and Questions / Anyone know of a pattern for this Waldorf style doll? on: August 04, 2010 03:28:30 PM
I was surfing flickr photos the other day and I saw this amazingly adorable doll. Unfortunately for me I'm still dealing with dial up internet (that surfing took 3+ hours) and from the few pages I got to see I didn't see a pattern reference. If anyone knows what kind of doll this is (I think it's a variation of the Waldorf) or where I could get a pattern I'd appreciate it!

2  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Artist Trading Cards (ATCs) / Digital ATC's and Inchies- NSFW on: July 28, 2010 09:25:52 PM

I wasn't sure where to put this, but on the More Art...board they said here would do!

My friend and her bf are moving into an apartment together and since they can't paint the walls they asked me to make something for their bedroom. I decided to make a series of ATC's. They share a bit more of an alternative relationship and were more specific in the genre that they wanted the piece to be in. *blush*

Here's the first digital ATC in the set.

Like I said they're alternative and they like the provocative.

And here are some digital inchies I made from some of my photography.

What do you think?
3  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Twilight/Breaking Dawn Charm Bracelet on: April 28, 2010 08:58:00 AM
This charm bracelet was made for smushisweetaboo in the One Tiny Twilight Thing swap.

It's based on twilight and breaking dawn. It has a twilight charm, a topaz heart, a tiny bottle filled with shells from their honeymoon, 3 glass charms that say Bella, Edward, and vampire, a lion/lamb, a 'be safe' charm, a loch ness monster charm, a set of vampire teeth, king/queen chess pieces, a music note, and several pearl/glass bead charms.

True colors in the bright sun.

This was my first time making glass charms and I absolutely loved it. I'm going to make a whole lot more now.
4  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Blue Bonnets and Butterflies Loaded Charm Bracelet on: March 16, 2010 01:11:40 PM

I made this bracelet for TheSapphireMoon in the recent Loaded Charm Bracelet swap. I believe I called it by another name when I sent it to her but I can't for the life of me remember what it was, now I'm calling it Blue Bonnets and Butterflies.

Made with a variety of different butterfly charms, a few leaf charms, blue & purple glass beads, blue plastic beads in cages, blue glass flowers, and silver findings including a leaf shaped toggle clasp.

It was really fun to make. I made her a pair of matching earrings but I forgot to take pics of them  Sad but if you mosey along to the LCBS gallery you'll see them  Wink
5  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Challenge 1: A Little Bit of Sea on: February 10, 2010 12:04:29 PM
I wasn't going to post anything for this challenge, by the time I'd realized it had started it was almost over  Tongue But I made these a few days ago on a whim and decided to post them at the last minute  Grin

These are a pair of stud earrings, really simple but pretty, reflecting the seas of the tropics. Tiny little bezel cups I salvages from some type of weird buttons, fine aqua glitter, some tiny seed pearls, two tiny shells, some gold chain, pink sequins and resin.

I love this concept and I hope to do a lot more in the same vein. Bezels are pretty cool!  Smiley

Tell me what you think!

6  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Loaded Charm Bracelet Swap Gallery on: January 28, 2010 04:21:00 AM
Post your bracelets here!  Smiley

Me first!  Grin Starting the gallery off with something spectacular. I got an awesome bracelet from Blackstitches today. It's beautiful, something that I would definitely drool over in a store.

It's got tons of cool charms. A crown, key/heart, a fleur de lis with tiny sparklies on it, a charm that says wish, a tiny heart, a flat one with a purple cab, a circular charm with an organic type design, a wing, a sparkly Eiffel Tower, and a cute little birdie!

And extras!

Blackstitches, I love it so much  Grin Cheesy Kiss. I'm going to wear it all the time. You said you had an explanation for it, I can't wait to hear. Did you give this lovely creation a name?

I'm in need of a swapper who is willing to use sterling silver, stainless steel, glass, leather, resin, clay, etc. anything that does not contain metal alloys for a swapper with severe metal allergies. The cost can be a bit more but not necessarily; if you share metal allergies and need something similar I have the perfect partner for you!

Details of swap
: This swap is all about the charms. You must be living under a rock if you havent noticed all of the amazing loaded, junky, kitschy, obnoxious (or not so obnoxious) charm bracelets on all of the stars and in all of the stores. In this swap youll be creating one of these awesome bracelets for your partner using whatever materials you have to create something fabulous for them to enjoy. The only rule is that you MUST have at least 8 charms on your bracelet that are NOT beads. There is an option of one or two partners for this one guys.

To be considerate of your partners wishes and likes/dislikes when creating their bracelet I am asking everyone to add charm bracelets that they like to their wists or send 3 links to charm bracelets they like to their partner.

There have been changes to the swap rules, I really dont want any flakers in this one guys. If after one week past send-outs you havent sent I will be assigning temporary negative feedback, 2 weeks and I WILL get an angel for your partner. No excuses, its not fair to your partner or your organizer.

8  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Best Yarns for Slouchy Hats? on: December 13, 2009 05:30:23 PM
Hello everyone. I was wondering what you guys felt was the best yarn to use for hats, slouchy hats/berets in particular. I need a commercial yarn, one I could find in Michael's or ACMoore but I want a better quality than caron's or red heart.

Any ideas would be appreciated.  Smiley

Time frame would be after the holidays, starting mid-late Jan with send outs in Feb.
