1  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Re: Meow Wallet on: August 26, 2009 01:13:33 PM
Love it! Did you make it from a pattern?
2  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Tattooed Rat! on: June 14, 2009 09:20:08 PM
I think I will name him after my ex boyfriend.

Started by making a paper pattern, taping it together, and adjusting where necessary, then took it apart and cut the fabric. Need to work on my slipstitching, but I luuurve the rat anyway. ^_^

3  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Remote control cozy on: May 24, 2009 07:42:13 PM
Or organizer, what have you.

My mom wanted something to hold her three remote controls and hang from her shoji screen, so I made up this thing today:

Construction details on my blog: http://tempestpilot.blogspot.com

I love it! Most of the stuff I make up on my own tends to look like it was sewn by raccoons. I wish I hadn't lost my remotes, or I would keep it. I got the fabric in a surprise bundle, I dig the crazy owls.

I added leaf-vein to the bottom of it. I think it turned out pretty well. Smiley

that is not pastel! That's a rich, lovely color, they look great. I was thinking of doing this hat, myself. Smiley Any chance for an action shot?

I'm starting mine tomorrow! The sale at Michaels prompted me to buy a bunch of creamy alpaca, I can't wait to get it on the needles!  Grin

It takes 2 skeins to do the short-sleeved version, 2.5 for the long sleeves. I decided to make a leaf-vein lace border for it, which used up the last half of the third skein and I just bought a 4th because I was short about 2x3 inches.  Roll Eyes

I'll post pictures once I get the frivolous little border on the bottom of it.
