Ah, thank you.  This is exactly the information I have been looking for.  I do not have very hot hands, but I have very strong hands and a wide range of traditional sculpting tools but no kiln, just an ordinary oven.  So I want a polymer clay that will accept heavy sculpting and not go all soft and gooey on me when I work it.  I have only used Sculpey, and it becomes a sticky, limp mess in about five minutes in my hands, even after I've refrigerated it.  Shoot, cookie dough is easier to sculpt in my experience.

I think I'll have to try the Kato, unless you can recommend something even better.

Cheers!

Thank you!  I'm new here, and this makes me very, very happy.  Smiley

"Make sure you have 2 ear-flaps"

hahahahahaha

Very cute and cozy looking!  What weight yarn/size needle did you use?  (If you said and I missed it, I apologize.)

I love the dark red with the white trim.

Being completely unhip and unfashionable, I have also not seen the original, but this one is very pretty.  More than anything else, though, I am commenting just to thank you for spelling out each stitch at least once before abbreviating.  It really helps out those of us not used to working from patterns or thinking about our stitches in terms of anything more formal than "a row of loops" or "that two-loop thingie."

Heh.  Maybe I'm the only person who does this.  Still, thanks.

Cheers!

This is awesome.  I just joined Craftster, and a kitty hat is one of the very first things I came looking for.  (Long story.)

I live in Massachusetts, so I don't think I will make such an open fabric for mine, but I love the idea of putting a little stitch in the middle of each ear.  Super cute, and so simple.

Cheers!
