These are my first try at inchies, but I'm addicted. I'm a little disappointed with how plain they seem, but I'm happy cause they are Courage! Cheesy squeeeeee

Whatcha think?
7  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Re: Chickens! on: April 01, 2011 08:43:31 PM
Yes, that's the pattern. Sorry I haven't replied in so long! I didn't use the head peice on that rooster, and modified the tail (as you can see from the picture). I just kinda drew what I wanted it to look like on paper for my pattern piece, and went from there. I would love to see if you make one too!
8  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / New lining for a tote :) on: April 01, 2011 08:35:45 PM
I had this great tote that my sister gave me, from a bookstore where she lived. Inside it was just blah, with seams showing, and everything got jumbled together. So I sewed a lining for it, and added pockets and pen holders. Cheesy

Here is the tote itself. One the other side is a quote from To Kill a Mockingbird that reads: "Until I feared I would lose it, I never loved to read. One does not love breathing."

And here's the inside lining, side with the pen holder and notepad holder:

And the pockets for my wallet, iPod and phone:

On a side note, I made the wallet and iPod case the other night too. Smiley I love the fabric, but the little fabric piece on the iPod holder was sewn in backwards, so you see the blue instead of black fabric, and the top stitching is a little sloppy. Oh well. I like it. Smiley

9  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Re: My first memory bear on: February 13, 2011 09:08:41 AM
That is wonderful! I love that it has special meaning to your mil, not just that you made it for her. Smiley
10  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Chickens! on: February 13, 2011 08:43:33 AM
I have a love of chickens. I own 5 of them and they are treated like part of the family! (except they can't come in the house lol). So last night I was playing WoW and got tired of leveling (I'm a nerd, I know), so I felt like doing some sewing. I modified a pattern I found online and tried my hand at it. Came out nice I think.

I like the tail especially. The original pattern was for a rooster, and the tail was just so floppy and looked weird. With this tail, I can make a peacock too! Just need to tweak it a bit. Anyway. Thanks for looking!
