Woohoo!  I received a package from Jemimah on Saturday, but I spent all day at a Jiu-Jitsu tournament (Got gold! yay!) and didn't get a chance to post pics until tonight.  And today I got a package from GuacaMolly!  Both are super awesome!

Check out the haul I got from Jemimah...the cuff bracelet is really really beautiful, and embroidered on silk fabric that's super soft on my skin:

And an owl lunch bag that fits lunch plus a little room for anything else I might drag to work with me Wink

From guacaMolly I got an owl pillow that's just really awesome! Love the eyes Smiley I want a whole flock of them lined up on the back of my sofa.  I've never really had the desire to collect things the way some people do, but I'm feelin' it now, lol.

And a whole bunch of watch bits!  I totally never realized how teeny tine watch hands are until you see them by themselves!  I also want to do something with the envelopes they came in because they're so neat....let me know if you guys have any ideas!  There are also a few watch mechanisms for steampunky goodness....I particularly like the one with the face still attached Smiley

Thanks guys!  I love it all!

Everyone's getting such awesome loot!  Including me, lol Smiley

I got this super awesome tea cozy from Edie22!  The stand-in teapot (the usual one is at work) is really oddly shaped, but the cozy still fits it really well!  I LOVE the pom poms, lol.  Thank you so much Edie, it's perfect!

btw, it's brown and blue....for some reason the brown came out super dark in the picture

Just had to share....my husband was highly amused by the stuffing of the cactus...

I've let my crafty space get out of hand....don't mind the clutter Sad

And here's a quick pic of the cactus with the pins popped out

So glad you liked it Lo{ve} Smiley

Hi there!  I received my totally awesome(!!!) package from crescentfresh today!

I really wish I could have gotten a better picture of the owl pillow she made....this really doesn't do it justice, it's so fantastic, but i just couldn't get a good picture out of my camera.  I think the colors look awesome on my crazy aqua couch! I actually left this one on my wish list because I think a whole flock of slightly different owls made by different people would just be so cool!

Obligatory dirty bathroom mirror shot of my tank top.  I love the elephant, and it fits perfectly Grin  It's impossible to tell in the photo, but it's a really cool batik panel appliqud on.

I also got the most awesome needle book ever, a painted wood necklace, and an owl notecard.  The needle book is embroidered with a circle pattern that I love that she got from another one of my wishes (crafty girl!)

And on the inside...this cracked me up!...the pages are a re-purposed shoulder pad from what must have been a god awful shirt, but is totally AWESOME in my needle book, lol.  I love paisley even if my DH is violently against it, so now I have a little bit that I can enjoy and he doesn't have to look at! Also, she made the teeny tiniest stitches to attach the pocket without them showing on the outside of the book.

Thank you so much, Crescentfresh, I love it all and anyone would be lucky to have you as a swap partner....glad you're back!

Yay!  I received TWO packages today! So excited!

From babalina58, I got a whole set of napkins in the most fantastic fabric.  I love the red so much, and it goes great with my white/charcoal dishes.  Now I get to play with napkin folding....as you can see in the second photo, lol.  She also made me a wood burning of my Frenchie, Gizmo.  He's my little love, and I'm so thrilled with his portrait! Well worth the slightly scorched fingertips in my opinion.  Thank you so very much for making this a great swap!

I got a Crocodile Stitch Neck Warmer from sarahj2001, and it's absolutely beautiful and thick and warm!  I can't imagine how long this took! Thank you so much!  Of course I took the obligatory dirty bathroom mirror shot, lol (I think the happy sushi shirt totally adds a touch of class >.<)!

Thanks again you guys! Everything is awesome!

26  Re: Rapunzel Yarn Swap Gallery!! in The Swap Gallery by Opalgryphon on: January 23, 2011 03:08:31 PM
Yay!  Got my last package from Rosie1981 last week and procrastinated on photos...  Lovely yarns, with lots of fun strands and some extra glitteries! Awesome, thank you so much Grin

I actually supplemented from my stash and made two scarves.  One for me and one for my mom.  The green/blue/purple one is mine, and the red/black/whiteish one is for her.  Love them so much!  Pardon the goofy pictures, I was trying to make pigtails out of them, kinda, lol.  And the last picture is a close-up(ish) of the bottoms hanging from my bookshelf.

Thank you so much to everyone, I'm just thrilled!  I'm actually thinking about organizing a real life swap party to make these with friends Smiley

More yarn!  Got this package from lelila today!  Love it all!  Thank you so much

I totally couldn't help it, and started organizing all my yarn bits. When I was cutting for my partners, I cut enough for myself too, so that's why there's so much yarn there:

I'm going to have to use serious willpower to wait for the last package, lol.

29  Re: "Frankie Says 'UUGGGHHHHHH'" Dress from T-Shirt (PIC HEAVY!) in Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by Opalgryphon on: October 16, 2010 04:52:01 PM
Ok, no where as cute/sexy as yours, but the tank dress is more my style.  It's also CRAZY short (I may have a longer torso, and it's pulled up a little higher than yours) hence the jeans Wink

Goofy face just for you! (btw, both of my legs are the same length...I'm not really sure how perspective managed to do that to my legs)

And the conversation went like this:
Hubby: Pose for me baby!
Me: You gotta be kidding...
Hubby: c'mon!
Me: **half ass pose and glare combo attack of doom**

Thank you soooo much for the tutorial!  I love my dress/shirt so much Cheesy  Er...if you don't want this posted in your thread, let me know and I'll kill it.

30  Rainbow Fabric Origami Crane Mobile in Completed Projects by Opalgryphon on: October 09, 2010 08:24:39 PM
I got this idea yesterday and just had to make it happen!  I used wonder-under to make 7" squares of double sided calico "paper", and folded the cranes with the help of my iron for creasing.  It's all held together with little bows which might be hard to make out in the photos.  The only thing I had to bust out the sewing machine for was the casing on the ring...which I stuffed with fiber fill.  A few scorched finger tips later....

Please excuse the dark photos...it's 10pm and the lights in my house are not so hot. I just couldn't wait to post it...

Do you think it would be a good gift for a baby's room? (er...imagine it in a not-quite-so-dark setting >.< )
