41  Copper rose in Completed Projects by Aislynn on: May 12, 2008 07:25:24 PM
I made this for a swap, and my partner received today, yay!  So I figured I'd post a few pics of it.  It's made with copper sheeting and stainless 20 gauge wire.  Hope you enjoy!

42  My first real embroidery. in Needlework: Completed Projects by Aislynn on: May 12, 2008 07:23:38 PM
Hello!  This is my first post in this forum.  I just completed my first real embroidery project for a swap, and thought I'd share!  (My actual first was a tiny, patternless attempt to try out some stitches.)  I used a free vintage pattern from Pattern Bee, traced onto Solvy, and stitched with 3-4 strands of cotton floss.  I was trying out the stem stitch, split stitch, and...well...something halfway between a satin stitch and long and short, for the shading.  I did short rows of red, with long, alternating rows of dark pink.  Hope you like it!

And this is what I made it into:

43  Embellished box in Completed Projects by Aislynn on: April 14, 2008 03:29:35 PM
I didn't make this, but I painted it, and am darn proud, as it was all freehand.  It was an anniversary gift (part of) for my DH.

44  Wings! (pic heavy) in Costumes: Completed Projects by Aislynn on: March 20, 2008 08:30:55 PM
Yay!  So, I think I have actually found the place on Craftster which would be most appropriate for these.  Wingmaking was my first love of crafting, and it gave me an awesome creative outlet through school.  So, I wanted to share some of the work I've done!  I hope you enjoy.

These were for a charity auction.

I just like how the light reflects in this picture.

This is a friend of mine, who wanted to be a Fairy Princess Pirate for Halloween.

These were my attempt at being conceptual, with fire and water themes.

And yeah, these are my babies.  Or at least some of them.  Tres fun in the making.  I hope you like them!

45  Pillowcase shirt! in Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by Aislynn on: March 18, 2008 08:23:41 PM
Hi!  This is my first attempt at a picture post (I hope it works!).  This is a tank I made a while back out of two pillowcases.  It has four panels, the front and back are both gathered a bit at the top, the side ones are not.  It is insanely comfy and big (I have big girl hips, so the side panels are actually A-line, plus gathers, so the hem is substantial).  This was the first piece of clothing made on my sewing machine, and my first reconstructed anything, so it was a learning experience.  Alright, enough yapping, here's a picture! (that's mostly background...sorry about that):
