Very cute!  Love it!  If I had been thinking clearly when I opened the fun size Snickers bag from Halloween...I would have been more careful about it.  Smiley

Love it!  I also love the pouch.  Did you put vinyl on the outside?

That tutorial is awesome!  Thanks for finding & posting.  I was able to complete one in a few minutes.   Grin

Thanks.  Smiley

Strong?  Probably medium.  I wouldn't carry around bricks in it for sure.  But it is lined & the handles are sewn in with 3 lines of stitching.  If I make another one, I might duct tape the inside of the bag for added strength after I sew it, before I turn it.  (If I do it before, I might gunk up my needle)

Great idea!  I saved all my DH BDU's from 10 years ago hoping I could make something with them. Thanks for the inspiration!

This tute intrigued me.  I think I've made 1 purse type thing about 2 years ago & I hated it so never attempted any more.  Had I only known about CRAFTSTER back then!!!  I'm on a roll, this is my 4th bag this month!  And as an added bonus...I like them all!

I have found that if I have a purpose to my project (or a deadline), I'm more inspired to finish it.  This one is for my hubby.  He needs a "man bag" for our overseas trip.  Is it masculine enough?

Now I want to make one in decorative denim...would be neat to add a zippered divider.  Hmm...need to check the tute on that now...

This is my 1st time dealing with magnetic snaps.  Quite Cool!

The light reflecting off the black canvas makes it look horrible!  Shows were all the lint is & some threads I need to snip!   Shocked   I rubber stamped chinese for "I love you" & also a Handmade by stamp at the bottom.

8  Halloween / Halloween Costumes / Child pillow costume - super easy, but fun! on: October 30, 2007 12:08:03 AM
Want to see a super easy costume???  1 yard of fun fabric.  I wasn't in the mood (or had time for) anything complicated this year.

I found the eyelash fabric on clearance & that was also on sale for 50% off...$2.50 total for 1 yd.  Probably on cl. due to the horizontal lines going thru it.  Really shows up in the photo, but not as much in person.

If I can get my DD to let me take a pix of her wearing it...I will post another shot.

She originally wanted to stuff her costume with plastic bags, but I couldn't think of an easy way to keep them in while making the costume easy to wear & not hot & scratchy.  So...I attached batting to the inside on both sides.  Having a body inside will fill it out more.

I plan on converting this into a real pillow after we're done with the costume.  Smiley

Any suggestions for a hat or head covering?

Love love love it!!!  I love that movie, too!  I need to pull it out & watch it again.  Smiley

Would have never thought to make a costume like that.  Great work!
