11  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Irish christmas Scarf (Image Heavy) on: November 17, 2008 03:11:43 PM
So Christmas is on its way and I am rather broke so I decided to make a ton of my gifts as well as start early  so that I can save money for registration for my car. So Since my sister has this thing for IRELAND and plans to go in a few years for the summer. So I asked her how to spell it and I even spell checked it and they both told me it was spelt IERLAND So I used it...

And I didn't notice until I put the tassels on!! Although I'm very embarrassed I'm not getting rid of it! She is going to know she was the one who caused this mistake and she will be able to tell all the handsome Irish men about me when she wears it. And then they come home with her marry me and we'll live happily ever after.....::Shakes head:: Sorry any way here are the misspelled pictures.

MISSPELLED!! UHHG!

THE TASSELS THAT CAUSED ALL THE TROUBLE!

Well that's it and lets hope my dream comes true!
12  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Sister's tote PICTURE HEAVY on: September 27, 2008 08:38:42 PM
So I made a harry potter tote a while back that was inspired by another craftster's project and my younger sister was mildly impressed with it and then demanded I make her one with birds since she has this obsession with things with wings and or the ability to fly. So, I found a quote and I drew up a little design for her bird tote. I  know she told me the details of the book including the name but all I remember is it's about mutant teenagers who grow wings? IDK. Any way the individual birds and feathers are colored and sized based on the characters in the book and their importance/characteristics. The large golden/amber bird is the main character, the baby white feather is the youngest character, and the black feather is a character with black wings. It's fun but I'm just not that good of a listener for all the details! Sorry sis!
OKay picture time!

I wish I had a better image of the quote but it says, "A forest bird never wants a cage." By Henrick Ibsen

I had a lot of fun with the clouds and water ripples! Hope you all enjoy!
13  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Reappostered chair (Picture heavy) on: August 14, 2008 09:46:02 PM
So Have you ever wanted to complete a challenge but can never seem to do it until it's over...Huh well it happened to me. I wanted to complete the hot seat challenge and I didn't. About a month of so later I see this god awful chair on the side of the road with a free sign on it. So what does any craftster do? I took it. I stripped it down and used a stapler to put some really awesome brown and blue fabric on it.

14  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Star Patch Pants on: August 14, 2008 09:27:18 PM
I'm not sure if this fits here or not but I kinda reconstructed these pants so I'm not sure. Well to start off my father hates these pants they have holes and are not exactly fitting for a "girl". I agreed with him about the holes but these are my favorite pants and I just can't throw them out so I did some patch work. Basically I traced stars over the holes, pinned cute fabric underneath, sewed along the star outline, and cut out the fabric above the patch. I think it looks cool and my father is slightly impressed but still doesn't like them....that might be why I do...anyway here are some pics.

Couple of my favorite Patches

The Finished Project
I think they are rather cool
15  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Pirate Ipod Holder on: December 17, 2007 08:58:17 AM
I really needed to make a cover for my Ipod and so after I saw this project http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=206863.0 I knew how I wanted to make it but not exactly sure what character I wanted to base it off of. So my sister found this video, on youtube or something similar, of a yellow man called "happy" http://youtube.com/watch?v=Fccrd8cMKNA who was trying to cheer up his blue friend "sad" I'm guessing. Well during his different comical tries he finally comes around the corner in a ridicoulous pirate outfit. I knew at this point that this was the character I wanted for my ipod cover. Now mine is by no means even close to being as good as the one i got the idea from, but I am very proud of him especially since this was my first time even trying to do something like this.

He is a little rough around the edges but honestly what pirate isn't? Jack Sparrow would be proud!
16  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Winter Holidays / Star wars Christmas Ornaments on: December 09, 2007 07:27:32 PM
Alright, so I have been browsing for ideas on christmas ornaments for a party swap and I finally found something everyone at this particular party would enjoy fighting over. I saw this awesome R2D2 Glass globe someone on here painted and it gave me this cool idea to paint a set of them. So far I only have a R2D2, Darth Vadar and a Storm Trooper. I also have a Yoda and Chewbacca in the works. I used regular acrilic paint and modge podge to seal it.
