The outfit is super, and the photography is quite striking.  I don't know much about photography so my terms are off, but I love this stylized, romantic portrait work.  Sort of old fashioned, yet very forward and ethereal at the same time.  I will totally be looking for more of your work, photos, etc.  This pic would be perfect, in fact, for a swap project I am doing now.  Is it okay to just print the image off if I am not trying to sell it or claim that I took it?  I never know how these copyright things work.

Yeah, I think so, I don't see how that would be a problem. it's not like i can tell people that they can't print photos off the internet. Tongue

thank you for all the compliments too Smiley

That looks stunning. I would have steamed it though.

I ironed it the day before. I think the photographer added a texture to it, the unedited photos from the shoot look fine Smiley

It's interesting what jumps out at people based on their backgrounds. The people with violin background notice the hand placement. My father is an interior designer and I grew up helping him with the store, so what did I notice? The skirt is wrinkled, so wrinkled that I couldn't ignore it. Everything is gorgeous, but I wanted to point out that little things like that can make all the difference.

The unedited photos from this shoot on my contact sheet show 90% less wrinkles, so i'm assuming the photographer used a texture to add more interest to the skirt. I love the finished piece so i'm groovy with it.

WOW! Okay I have a couple things to say. How does one have 28,000+ friends on myspace? I mean I think I have like 10. And I love your pink hair but especially love your hair in the pic where it looks like you are climbing out of a school bus. So what are these photoshoots for? magazines, posters, ads, commercials, hair products? Do you have a line of clothing? I love all the pictures, the one in cherry dress laying down too. You have such fair skin, I'm jealous. And I so wish I could learn how to do makeup like yours. I love how bold it is. I love your outfits too by the way. This dress is just amazing work of yours.

Haha.

I just approve everyone that adds me. I tried to have a personal profile, except people kept on adding me there instead Sad ! So I deleted that and just try to keep on top of this one. I've lived in lots of different places (including 2 different countries) so i kinda just accumulate people from here and there.

I help photographers build their portfolios. I've also had ten (ish) publications and gallery showings also. I don't really know why I do it , boredom... probably. I just like the finished piece of art (the photograph) - especially when I know how much work and time and effort has gone into every piece.

Fair skin is sucky. Just trying to find foundation is a bitch.

I taught myself makeup. It's a lot easier than it looks Tongue

Thank you for the compliments.

It's really beautiful, and in some way you look like a Mark Ryden painting to me. I don't know why, but that's what I see.

i love Rydens work. The little girl in 'The Butcher Bunny' looks exactly like I did when I was a little girl. It's frightening Smiley Thank you for the compliment Cheesy

East Lansing Huh? I lived in Okemos for 10 years!
Great to see such talent so close to home
(or what was home until 3 months ago)
Nice work.

hurrah for Okemos Smiley that's where i do my grocery shopping Tongue !

I digress though, this isn't my actual home either, I'm from the UK and moved to Indiana in 2004, then moved to E.L last Summer Smiley

omg! that is amazing!
do you think you can do a tut for making a top hat?

I'd love to, however I don't really think that I have enough time at the moment. I'm usually really busy with other projects. If I can, at any point, I will Smiley

you made that? you photographed it? dear god, i'm going to stare in shock at the screen for the next two hours, if you don't mind. you're like, freaking amazing, in case no one has told you within like, the past five seconds.

AH WAIT I HAVE A BETTER IDEA POST MORE WORK!!!!!!!!
that would be such a good idea in my opinion.

haha. No, I didn't photograph it (I WISH i was that talented, not so much I'm afraid [boo!]) I just made the dress and the hat, I did the makeup and hair, oh and I'm the model too. I just like multi-tasking it must seem.

I'll definitely post more as and when they come around, I seem to have gotten some actual appreciation from this site. Noone seems to care elsewhere on the internet, seems although they're just looking for T&A Sad !
