I'm starting to add paint to my Art Journal Pages I was mostly doodling before here are some of my background pages.
Acrylic paint on canvas paper. I used the shaving cream marbling technique. I know not the best picture quality took with my cell phone.
Watercolours (which I just started using yesterday) wash over watercolour paper sprinkled with table salt
Now this was fun, and truly an experiment. Shallow pan filled with water, added cooking oil (yes cooking oil), then I used a few drops of blue & black acrylic paint. Mixed it all up as best I could. Put canvas paper into the water all the way to the bottom of container then pulled it out. I liked how it turned out. The large spaces with no paint are where the oil settled, and the paint wouldn't stick there. I will try this with other types of paper like watercolour paper. I even noticed a heart formed totally randomly
Now this is a WIP. I first journaled on watercolour paper feelings that I'm currently working through. I then painted with water colour over top, put masking tape on did a wash over that removed tape. Then using a silver oil paint pen started the mendhi doodle on my hand that I traced sort of stamping out my yucky feelings. The paint pen died so I need to get a new one to finish it
