21  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Re: Cure for Hole-y Jeans on: May 05, 2009 05:36:24 PM
Iron-on fabric patches are available at most sewing and department stores, if you pick one in a matching color and iron it on the inside of the frayed part it acts like interfacing for it and is not visible from the outside.
It does fall off with a ton of washer/dryer cycles.

I saw that and thought
'Oh man I want to eat that fudgy looking chocolate!'
Looks like a grea soap.

Any tips on how to frame a piece of fabric- the batik?
I was thinking of basting it by hand to a larger piece of fabric which I could staple to the cardboard frame insert... anyone have a better idea?

I received from crescentfresh yesterday! ... delayed a bit due to Canada Post once again, sigh.

One of the items I mentioned needing in my list was something I could hang on the wall to organize my hair sticks and hair clips. She came through wonderfully with this beautiful organizer:

Please forgive the wrinkles it incurred in shipping, my iron got gunked up in an interfacing mishap and I need a new one.

Here's a picture of it holding some of my hairtoys:

Crescentfresh also sent this amazing batik tree painting!

It's absolutey beautiful, Im going to find a frame for it this weekend. I can't believe she made this by hand!

And finally, I received a hand-drawn bookmark with a pencil made from a twig, and  notecard with a letter written in it (that crescentfresh had received in another swap).

Thank you so much crescentfresh and thanks to the mods and other participants for a great swap!

I think the directions are very clear. You are really good at drafting patterns!
Lovely skirt.

Well USPS 'attempted' delivery again, while my roomate was at home and literally 10 feet from our apartment door. If they are attempting, then they are not capable of pressing an apartment buzzer.
I spent half an hour on the phone with them being transferred to an 'international' agent several times before I got one- who told me i need to contact Canada Post.
Guess I'll try that next, I need to figure out how to pick up the package before they return it as undeliverable.

Yeah, they didn't even leave a note.
Im pretty sure they weren't even there.

Hmm... USPS shows a delivery attempt for my swap package for yesterday at 11:59pm, but I know for a fact that my roomate was home. I even asked him- nobody knocked.
