1  My first "real" embroidery in Needlework: Completed Projects by alli123 on: October 05, 2008 02:15:53 PM
I've done embroidery before, but the kind where you just kind of make up your own stitches and try to make it look good... Anyway, I embroidered this for a wedding present for my youth group leader.. The thread colors kind of stained the white fabric :[, but you can't really notice it..

Tell me what you think!

Im embroidering this image from Alice In Wonderland for my friend.. The only problem is that it is in French... can anyone help??

If you can't read it, the signs say
"Ici, Par La. Par Ici, En Bas and Plus Loin"..
I have gotton some literal translations, but they don't really sound correct.. anyways.. yeah :]
Thank you!

Please don't give me credit for this picture!!
My best friend took this picture of me (with a 35 mm camera) for photography class at school...
It is printed on photo paper (light sensitive) and my picture taken of her picture does not serve it justice!
Oh and she only got an 89 on the assignment :[

8  my first baggggg :D in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by alli123 on: August 31, 2008 04:18:00 PM
So the story behind this bag is... bare yourselves...
My (public) high school decided to not let anyone bring their own purses/bags to school this year. Instead, if a student wanted to carry something around (lunch, pencil pouches, tampons, books, ect.), they would have to purchase a school "spirit bag", which is a smaller version of a drawstring bag with the schools name and a bulldog on the front (later I realized this not comply with the school's "no bag" policy, yet the school is selling bags to carry around...??). I thought to myself "Well, Allison, you're untouchable because you're diabetic".. but what do you know? Your bag can only be the size of a half a sheet of paper I come to find out this week (we did a petition and they're refunding everyone's money for the hideous "spirit bags"). I wanted to make a bag that I could carry around and not have to play the diabetic card on the administrators.. but oops.. it actually turned out the size of a FULL sheet of paper (GASP!) At least the bag is cute :]
(sorry for my long explanation and crappy photos)

sorry... its being used :]

pocket :]

lining... and all of my stuff

[sorry- lots of pics]

the sides of the flap and the strap are seed stitch, other than that ST stitch.
