3  COOKING / Dessert / Re: "Buckeyes" or "Holy cow that tastes just like a Reese's cup" recipe w/PIX! on: October 18, 2009 04:00:54 PM
I don't know what happened, but I just tried making these. I followed the directions exactly and i came out with a crumbly mess. I even added an extra 2 tbsp of peanut butter. It seemed as if the powdered sugar to peanut butter ratio was wayyy off. When I tasted it, it just tasted like powdered sugar with a hint of peanut butter. Did anyone else have that problem?

me as well!

figured it out! we are not mixing it as well as we should be! try using a mixer!

PS--I don't have a metal door, but I was thinking I could hang something magnetic on the inside of my closet door. A magnetic dry-erase board or a cheap cookie sheet? I'll figure something out! Or I guess I could always use that sticky gum stuff that teachers use... if I remember the name of it!

It might be expensive, but there is a thing called magnetic paint! you just paint it on the wall, than you can paint over it any color you'd like and it it's magnetic Smiley

well depending on who wanted to come we could decide where to meet up.
I'm about 40 minutes from binghamton, a half hour from Ithaca and twenty minutes from corning so i'm fine with any of those towns!
