1  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / DisneyDisneyDisney swap! on: September 12, 2008 05:18:55 PM
I know we've had hundreds [ok 8 or 9 total] of Disney inspired swaps but I think we need another.
I've always wanted to do one and now sounds better than never =D
2  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Chocolate Tuffle Magnets on: July 23, 2008 07:12:53 PM

3  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Harry Potter Hair Sticks on: July 18, 2008 11:21:07 PM
Made for Tasket.Basket for a recent Harry Potter Swap.
Unfortunately I also lost the images to this project so I am borrowing her shots! =D

Hair sticks in the form of a wand and a broom stick.
Subtle geek =D

Started out life as chop sticks. After carving, sanding, staining, sealing, hot glueing and painting came:

Of course a wonderful thank you to Tasket.basket for the pictures =D
4  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Hungarian Horntail on: July 18, 2008 08:52:06 AM
This painting was done on a canvas bag for a recent Harry Potter Swap for my partner Tasket.Basket. Acrylic paints mixed with textile medium and sealed with flexible varnish.

[trying to remember the size of the bag] I believe it was 15" across and stretched an extra 2-3" around the back with the wingspan.
And because I lost some of my pictures for this I borrowed some that my partner so graciously took for me! =D
The whole bag:

TIPS WOULD BE WONDERFUL! I usually only paint surreal/abstract so this was COMPLETELY new experience for me!
5  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / ROCK THE VOTE! on: June 26, 2008 08:04:11 PM
I was trying to think of a clever way to incorporate republicans in this too, but I'm too paranoid of political "discussions" and "debates" soooo I figure we'll keep it left wing Wink
Anyway, I don't know about anyone else but I need some Obama junk to sport around town.
Anyone up for this? I can't organize yet but I'd love to join!

EDIT//new theme! [or rather, more organized theme]
6  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Recycled/Green Swap! on: June 26, 2008 07:55:01 PM
I know this has been discussed, and I am pretty sure its been done before but my search thing is not working right now.
I just think it would be a wonderful idea!
It could include everything from tote bags and reusable menstral pads to bottle cap earrings and wine bottle vases!
Anyone in?
I can't organize yet [still in my second swap] but I would be the first to sign up!
7  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Candy/sweets Swap? on: May 20, 2008 10:36:20 PM

10  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / What the heck can I do with THIS? / Plastic Chess Pieces on: March 22, 2008 12:29:18 AM
I have a bunch of plastic chess pieces, a cream color and black. They are ugly! I don't think i have the full set, but most of them.
I DON'T want to make any jewelry or keychains from them. It's just not my style and no one I know's either.
But that's sort of the problem. I can come up with random things like knobs, tacks, hooks on a shelf etc.
But none of that fits me. I'm just not a chess player. :/
Anyone else think of anything?? Worst comes to worst, I can make them into something and sell them...
