1  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Wall Shelf Necklaces on: August 05, 2009 10:29:01 AM
We recently moved and our new bathroom is much smaller than our old bathroom and I need a place to hang my necklaces.

I took a couple of Ikea wall shelves and some picture frames that I have had forever and put them together for an art/neclace holder combination!  The picture frames have some graphic photos from magazines in them with a nail in the bottom for a hook.  Then I hot glued them to the shelf.

I love it!  (the art is an old tshirt that I stretched around an Ikea picture frame)
2  COOKING / Dessert / Birthdays Rock on: July 10, 2009 11:29:15 AM
This is the cake that I made for my birthday last week.  The cake itself is chocolate coconut with a pina colada icing.  The graphic is from a "how to rock" drawing from a magazine and I traced it onto the cake with a sewer's tracing wheel.  This is my second attempt a piping on a cake.  The sides had red stars and dots on it.

Does anyone know where to buy a dressform in the lower mainland?
4  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Craft room curtains! on: January 08, 2006 04:58:15 PM
I recently moved into a 2 bedroom apartment so now I have a craft room!  The room had horrible blinds in it.

I can't stand blinds.  I had an extra panel of my closet curtains

So with a little adjustment they became curtains! I have never made curtains before and I am fairly pleased.

and now this is my craft room.  The next project is to paint.  I also don't like white walls.

Anyone have ideas of what to do with old blinds?
