I definitely love this - it looks so comfortable and classy.
2  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / basic gloves pattern for boyfriend - suggestions needed! on: December 07, 2009 09:17:53 AM
My boyfriend wants gloves for Christmas and I am at a loss for a nice basic pattern with a ribbed cuff - single colour, no fancy patterns. Any suggestions would be much appreciated!
3  Halloween / Halloween Costumes / Re: Vintage Voodoo Doll Costume (img. heavy) on: November 02, 2009 07:35:41 PM
I was inspired by your costume and went as a voodoo doll too! I went to a "Slow Dance of the Dead" party, complete with dance cards and an enthusiastically encouraging emcee. There was another voodoo doll there too! Thanks for a great idea.

5  FIBER ARTS / Felting: Discussion and Questions / Embossing felt? on: October 26, 2009 07:04:35 PM
Does anyone have any suggestions for embossing a texture into felt while it is drying?
6  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: 2 hats including the hat "Imightneverwearinpublicforlackofselfconfidence" on: October 22, 2009 03:32:06 PM
I love them both and I say "get that blue hat on and go outside right now!" - I think it looks great on you.
7  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / First felted item - dish on: October 19, 2009 06:55:51 PM
I finally got around to trying felting. I had some ends of Rowan Big from Christmas hats last year, so I made a dish

Being an apartment dweller with a crazy scary basement laundry room, I opted for felting by hand in the sink. It took a few rounds of hot water and some serious arm work, but I think it turned out really well!

This is rad. I just bought a new bike, straight black, and I am totally going to make it one of these.
