2  Mario Perler Magnets in Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General by autumnxbutterfly on: December 19, 2007 06:13:21 PM
I made these for my husband for Christmas. They will be magnets. They are way bigger than I thought they would be. I got the idea from several posts here on craftster. I wasn't sure if I liked them or not but my best friend had a fit for them which made me feel a little better. Thanks for looking. Smiley

This is great Cheesy I took some birthday money from my Papaw and bought a kit with a book called "I Taught Myself Knitting" and allllll kinds of little stuff that I don't even know what it is. LOL I have officially "casted on"! I didn't make the tail long enough so I have to start over but at least I did it right! Check it out!

My first attempt at a knitting project is this:

Simple enough you think?

My son had his birthday party tonight. He wanted a Halloween theme. Here are pics of the food I made. I got most of the ideas from a Pillsbury cookbook I found at work. If anyone needs any of the recipes just let me know and I will type them out.  Cheesy

Ghost Pears

Caterpillar Cookies

Tootsie Pop Spiders

Popcorn Hands

Spiders and Hands

Sea Monster Sandwich

Vegetable Tray

Black Punch with Floating Hand (the fingers broke off lol)

Mummy Dogs

Scarecrow Dip

Haunted House Cake

He will be 8 Nov 2nd. I didn't want to do anything too scary since it was a kid's party.

6  Personalized Coloring Books - Christmas Idea in Winter Holidays by autumnxbutterfly on: October 21, 2007 04:35:52 PM
One thing I am doing for Christmas this year is making the children in my family personalized coloring books. This is so easy and quick. If you have Paint Shop Pro or Photoshop you can use that, but I am using this free program to turn pictures into sketches that look like coloring pages.

http://downloads.zdnet.co.uk/0,1000000376,39180842s,00.htm?dl=1

I will find pictures of the child and do a whole book of just him or her. I plan on making a cover that will say something like "_____'s Coloring Book" or something and having it laminated. Our local office supply store charges .75 per foot for lamination.

Here is an example of how the pages come out using a picture of my own kids.
