1  KNITTING / Projects from the Stitch 'N B**ch Books by Debbie Stoller / Question on modifying kittyville hat on: September 17, 2006 07:02:41 PM
I've made a few kittyville hats with no problem. I would like to make the ears on my current one rounded, basically making it a mouse hat. I also wanted the ears to be a bit wider so I figured id just pu a few extra stitches.
My boyfriends sisters birthday is coming up, and she is pretty obsessed with mice. I thought it would be a cute present.
Anyway, I think with some trial and error I could wing it, as I'm not sure how to make a more gradual rounded decrease for the ears. I just thought maybe I could ask here first if anyone knew how to do this, I'm pretty much a knitting novice in the sense I'm a pattern slave.
Any ideas?
Thanks Undecided
2  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Halloween Jordy bag on: October 12, 2004 11:19:45 AM
I have been confined to my house with a nasty lung infection. So my lovely man went out and bought me some halloween fabric to busy myself with while I am sicky.
I loosley based this pattern on the Jordy bag tutorial. I altered a few things for my own simplicity because i'm not a pattern follower.
Thanks to the broken bobbin on my machine this was all hand sewn. I wanna go through and add some frankenstein stictching, or maybe some lace over the pocket to fix the way the exposed pocket stitching looks.
This was my frist go at a bag/purse, and also my first time using a grommet punch(which I used for the snaps).
The outside is a skull fabirc, the lining is black cord, it has a black lace spiderweb pocket on the front with snaps, and 2 leather skull buckles over the top onto the front.
The pictures aren't so great, and don't show off color well. I added a whole bunch of them anyway.

3  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / TCM tank on: October 12, 2004 10:37:03 AM
So I picked up this super large shirt at a Value Village with the plans of making it all small and cute.
It's hard to tell in the pictures, but it only has straps that go over one shoulder, the double set of faux leather ones. The other black strap you see is just the bra I was wearing as i tried it on. It's cut so you can see cleavage when i'm not rockin the bra, which is great as i love trashy clothes.
I'm thinking of maybe shredding the back up, since it is leatherface and all.
I apologize in advance if for the low quality of the pictures. And for the off chance I jack up posting them, I always seem to have picture linking problems.

4  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Kitschy cross mirror....My first post *dances* on: August 17, 2004 04:26:49 PM
Ok kiddies, this is my first post after lurking here for quite a while. I apologize in advance if I jack up the picture. This picture is also the only one I have so just ignore the boy in the picture and look at the mirror Wink
I wish i had a better quality one.

I made this for a friend about a year ago as a gift  for some tattoo work he did on me.
In case the picture doesn't illustrate well enough...
It's a giant cross I made out of 2 by 4. I covered it with a black semi sparkley felt and monster fur to border it. It has a holographic jesus mounted in the middle, added some smashed up mirror pieces and other random trinkets, and designs. I wanted to add some barbed wire but had a really hard time finding some.

I just kinda faked my way through it and was surprised it turned out so favorable. Since this one(my first) I made my brother an elvis one and im making a really super pink sparkley gross girly one for myself right now.
Everything I make always ends up covered with glitter and pink...i can't help it.
