1  Pink, Brown, Polka Dots, and Pearls (purse w/matching coin purse) in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by missbelmont on: January 20, 2005 03:58:55 PM
This purse was a lot of fun to make. And it also fulfilled my polka dot fetish. Even though the pink fabric looks kind of purple-ish. It's not. It's just my crappy camera. It's actually a really pretty rose pink and it matches the silk flowers sewn on the front.

The purse:

The lining:

The coin purse:

Though I love them so, I'll probably end up selling them. I'm kind of in a spot and need money fast.  Undecided

What do you think?

2  New Swanky Purse and Two Questions in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by missbelmont on: January 14, 2005 05:02:58 PM
I made this about a week and a half ago. I love it, I've been using it everywhere. I'm going to try to duplicate it at some point but when I first made it I didn't write down the dimensions.  Tongue

^ Hehe, notice the silly string. You'll never know when it may come in handy...

Um, and I have two questions.

Do any of you guys know a different way of putting in lining besides leaving a hole in the corner? Because that method works alright with smaller bags but I have trouble using it for larger bags. Whenever I make a larger bag and I pull it through the hole, it ends up all wrinkly, and my crappy 70's iron doesn't help any. Or it won't go through the hole at all so the little hole keeps getting larger and larger, yucky..  Sad

The other question has been asked before, but I need to find some of those magnetic closures for purses. But it needs to be in an actual store and not in an on-line store. Whenever I ask the people at Joann about them they have no idea what I'm talking about, lol. So, help please!  Smiley
