That fabric is really cool!

Hello!  I need an angel for the Fabric Lovers Scavenger Hunt for mellybelly81.  She sent a lovely package to her partner but it appears her package has gone MIA.  Please help me out here and put together a great package for her!  She is located in Australia so please be willing to ship international unless you are located in Australia too!

SWAP DETAILS: In a crafty scavenger hunt you have categories you must interpret and fulfill with crafty items.  The categories definitions are up to you and your own interpretations.  Your package must include 7 items, one for each of the categories.  

One item per category - no single item can do double-duty and count for two categories. However, if a particular item does work for two categories and having two of them would be pleasing to the recipient, then two may be sent. The exception to that would be if it's a pair of something where having only one of the pair would be useless. If it's a pair, the pair can only count for one category. For example, a pair of blue mittens cannot count for something blue and something that starts with the letter M. However, sending two blue mugs, one for the blue category and one for the letter M category, would be allowable.

The Categories Are:
1. Something local
2. Something green
3. Something vintage
4. Something tiny (under 2")
5. Something sharp
6. Something round
7. Sender's choice

*The package must contain at least 7 smalls.
*Five of your 7 items must be related to fabric or fabric crafts.
*You can craft or shop to fulfill categories, but at least two items must crafted.
*One category must be fulfilled by one yard of fabric.  The yard of fabric can be derived from a single piece, fat quarters, jelly roll, charms, etc., just as long as it equals one yard

Yeah, I think it would but the challenge is sizing.  Some babies are not actually that much smaller in the chest size than my 4 year old.  It of course depends on the baby though.  I'd check to see what size the baby is wearing currently.  I know that a dress that Aria wore when she was 9 months old still fit as a shirt quite well when she was 3 years old.  So if the baby is wearing 9 months you might be able to get away with simply using the pattern, but keeping it short and maybe taking in the neck a bit.

Cute diaper cake.  Aria would approve; she has a slight hello kitty addiction…she doesn’t watch the cartoons…I think she just likes the idea of a cat with a bow.

Jellybeans, love the buntings.  Craftster is so great for getting those party needs out of the way.  Very little of Aria’s rainbow party needs were made by me.  Also love the due date maternity shirt!

Abbee, What a great birthday party!  Monsters are also a good one!  I love the make a monster kit!!

Kookaloo_starr, dishcloth scrubbies are a perfect housewarming gift.  Those are very interesting; is the circle in the middle an actual scrub that you managed to work into the pattern?  Clever idea.  I love my homemade dishcloths but sometimes they aren’t tough enough to do the job.

And because I am falling asleep while reading academic articles, I thought I would share a few close up photos of the bottlecap pincusion and pins I sent to artmomto5.    Yes, I'm being a showoff.  Heh. And yes, the pins are decorated using shrink plastic.    The pins were fun to make.

Okay....still not sure what Aria did with the great tshirt artmomto5 made.  Its around here...but I've been swamped with school and work responsibilities so I'll post my package now and repost with a pic of the shirt when I have time to figure out where it went.  I'm sure she wore it the day Dad was home with her and it ended up in the wash.

The thick ribbon is vintage inspired.  The other ribbon and the buttons are definitely vintage.  They are from a fab local store here in Portland!  Their store is dangerous. 

Sweetyetevil, I hope your partner gets back to us soon.  I love the mason jar pincushion.  The fabric you used for the top is divine.

Smeddley - thanks for the mini tute on the chicken hat.  I have a four year old over here who would love a chicken hat.  She has a chicken costume that she wore for 3 straight days but its getting a tad tight.
