Those of you with visible tattoos I have a question, how does your job feel about them? What type of job or career do you have?

I have a large tattoo on the inside of my right forearm and would eventually like a sleeve or two Wink, Right now I am a SAHM but I have been going to school very slowly with hopes of becoming a pediatric nurse, I'm a little concerned that my tattoos will affect it adversly. What is your opionion on this? I hate the idea of conforming for the sake of society's ignorance, but I guess its a matter of whats more important to the individual.

Look forward to hearing everyone's opinion!

Tracy

Hi! I work as a customer service insurance agent and I have to cover my tattoos. I only have a few that are really visible, one on my forearm and some hearts behind each ear. I have to wear long sleeve shirts and they would *like* me to wear my hair down to cover the heart ones, but in the summer sometimes I wear it up cause I'm hot enough with a long sleeve shirt on. I've worked there 3 years and have always gotten great reviews and they won't budge at all. I guess it depends on the job.

Here's a pic of my forearm tattoo, I just got it touched up yesterday. There's a picture of it without color on a a previous page of this post.

6  Help me with my earrings, please! (Two pictures) in Beads: Discussion and Questions by meowsley on: April 08, 2005 11:30:15 AM
Hi everyone! I bought these earrings on E-Bay:

Then I bought these beads made by the same girl: (They're on a pipe cleaner)

I'd really like to make earrings from the bones. I went to Michaels and someone there told me I should get wire, tie a knot at the bottom so the bead doesn't slip off and then tie a knot at the top on to the french hook earring. I'm having a HELL of a time tying the wire. The Day of the Dead earrings already have a little silver hoop on the top that's connecting the bead to the earring. Is that something I can do myself? The people at Michaels were NOT very eager to answer my questions. Thank you!

Since I've already posted my tattoos on here, I thought I'd post pics of the sleeve my husband's in the process of getting. I love it! It's the Simpsons, but they're zombies. I think it's adorable, but he's always telling me "It's not SUPPOSED to be adorable." hehe It's not even halfway done, but it's getting there.

I got my stuff! I need to find the cable for my camera Smiley

Hooray! I'm so glad you finally got it. I've had one hell of a few weeks, I'm so sorry it was late. I had minor surgery on my leg and I've had to go back to the doctor 7 times due to little complications.  Angry Any hoozlebees..... I hope you like your stuff!

Here's what Xanthia sent me, I don't know why I haven't posted pics sooner! I got 5 soaps - A skull soap-on-a-rope (Licorice), a coffin (Ocean Rain), and three packages of little skulls (Cranberry Sage, Blackberry Sage & Vanilla.) The coffin is my favorite, it's so detailed, it's beautiful! My husband stole the soap-on-a-rope from me, but he smells yummy now.

Thanks, I love everything!

Lisa

I'm in love!! Here's what Kuruku sent me...

When I first opened the package, I took one look at the kitty and named her Francine. Then I saw Kuruku's note and in it she said "I didn't name her but I thought Francis suited her!" Weird!!!

The rat is modelled after her rat, Rhubarb. Thank you, Jess, they are soooo cute!
