I have been making these like crazy lately, I am doing the Indie Sacramento show on Saturday, so I will see how they sell. I just love them because they are so colorful and interesting, definitely a conversation piece when someone notices they are made from a zipper! Some little girl headbands made from plastic zippers
An array of Brooches, some plastic, some metal and some two tone:
Look how cute they look on a sweater:
I prefer stitching them, I feel like I can sculpt them better, but you can also use a low temp glue gun(just be careful of the glue showing) Let me know what you think
My mom has made these for years for her quilter friends as gifts. The are really great for organizing your craft supplies like embroidery floss, trim, or whatever. I use mine all the time. I made some for a craft fair, and they went over well. let me know what you think, I could do a quick tutorial if anyone wants, they are super easy. I picked up this placemat and the vintage trim at a thrift store and I buy the ziplock zipper freezer bags at Target (their brand)
I made this felted clutch, and I think it turned out lovely. As most people know I Loooove the color orange and I fell in love with this wool yarn the moment I saw it. I used a great vintage button for the closure, and lined it with this great cotton Heather Bailey fabric.
I am in love with this book, bend the rules SEWING, by Amy Karol(the fabric store near my house is closing so I got the book for 50% off, score!). The cover project is so cute and easy and makes a last minute gift. I have made a few of these so far and plan to make many more.
This one i made as a last minute gift for a friend to keep her invisaline braces in:
This one i made for a swap, I used red linen fabric and painted the dots on it:
It is really fun to pick out contrasting fabrics and the buton
