Awwww!  Great job!  Flaws, what flaws.  Love the tapered hem-perfectly shows the 10 perfect toes and teeny feet1  Love her expression.  Great choice of colors.  I think you are too hard on yourself!
4  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Re: boring skirt on: May 21, 2009 04:15:06 PM
Very nice job on the sewing.  I have a business skirt with fat, flat bows at the vertical seams on the front and back (4 bows total).  They are the same fashion fabric and about 3/4 inch long and 1/2 inch wide with the center "knot" about 1/4 inch wide so there isn't much of a gather.  I also have one with a 1 inch ruffle at the bottom made of the same fashion fabric.  It's not gathered a whole lot, maybe 1-3 gathers per inch, but it fluffs slightly because it is 2 layers thick (don't know if I can explain-width=cut fabric 2 inches+seam allowances and length=circumference of hem+extra for gather, fold in half and attach raw edge to hemline).  Maybe I can add a pic if this doesn't make sense.

Shocked  WOW!  She looks amazing!  You are so talented!  The pattern is so perfect for her.  I wish I could find "the one" so I could make it in every color and fabric!  Great job and congrats raising a vivacious, beautiful dd.

Aren't Kinder eggs chocolate with a toy in them?
I don't know because they are band from sale in the U.S. Stupid gov't thinks people are too stupid and will eat them and choke on the toy. (I think any one that stupid should be out of the gene pool anyway)

I'm an Internal Medicine doctor in the US.  You would be surprised at the stupidity.  I routinely have to remind patients that prepackaged fruit punch never met fruit, that Pringles (a fried potato slice/chip) are not vegetables (or an herb despite the picture of the chives on the canister), beer is still alcohol although it comes in a can, and Cheez-Its (cheese flavored crackers) are not cheese.  I could go on and on (Fruit Snacks are not fruit, green liquid that comes in a 1 gallon jug is not really "juice"...).  By the way, I only treat adults...  Some days I think my 3, 5, 7, and 9 year olds are brilliant. Undecided
