1  its time for a new clutch in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by hatefulnotebook on: July 19, 2008 09:35:11 PM
so, this is my 3rd bag, first clutch.  i read this tutorial ( http://u-handbag.typepad.com/uhandblog/2007/03/rather_sexy_wri.html ) about 20 times before i attempted it.  i made my pattern larger/different dimensions.

the exterior is cotton fabric (covered with iron on vinyl) that i originally used as interior in a different bag.  i fell in love with it and knew it had to be a clutch.  i went and got more, got myself a snazzy pocketwatch and made myself this fancy clutch.

its not too big.  it held my wallet, cigarettes, chapstick brand lipbalm and my phone at a wedding last weekend.

i keep the watch in the purse but i think i might just lose the chain.  i can't decide.

any thoughts?  comments are much appreciated.

2  not another needle roll... in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by hatefulnotebook on: February 05, 2008 08:25:25 PM
ah, but it is.  years ago, i made one of these based on the tutorial given in the stitch and bitch book.  we had a bit of a bug problem when we lived in south philadelphia, and were very paranoid about moving them with us to our new home.
the night we moved, i was going through my backpack and one crawled out, so i closed up the bag and threw it outback where it sat for a whole year. (i really hate bugs.)  i finally opened the moldy thing and salvaged what i could (some were inheritated from my nana.)  sorry that was so long.

its replacement:

4  baby shoes, first post in Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects by hatefulnotebook on: February 05, 2008 08:07:05 PM
i know its been done before, but i was excited for them.  not too excited though, they already have worn holes in them.  oh, and this is my first post.  yay!  you all make fantastic clothes, your little ones are so fashionable.  i can't wait to make other things.

i used this tutorial (http://stardustshoes.blogspot.com/2006/10/cloth-shoe-pattern.html) but i used some vinyl for the bottoms.
