1  Re: 2012 Stash-Busting Resolution Dotees GALLERY in The Swap Gallery by freewaydog on: February 03, 2012 03:21:33 PM

Moniqueramsey used my resolution to $ave money, as you can see by the dollar sign.  Let's hope this resolution can come true this year.  I can never manage to $ave any money.

IllusionsOfNormal used my resolution trying to get to see my grandchildren more.  She made a colorful "time flies" clock and the tails have the names of my grandchildren.  How clever.

Thank you both for such lovely dotees.

2  Re: metrocards in What the heck can I do with THIS? by freewaydog on: March 05, 2009 08:34:48 AM
What's a metrocard look like?  I mean, are they plastic or heavy paper?

Metrocards are plastic & look like this:

And I know this is an old post, but I, too have a bunch that I don't know what to do with.

Check out what this girl did with her cards:http://www.teenvogue.com/magazine/room/panorama.
Pretty nifty, eh? You can see it up close, I think, if you take the digital tour Wink

I am sure it would be quite nifty,...if the link was not dead.  Fudgegirl how do you make a deck of cards w/ it?

3  My own vcr tape purse in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by freewaydog on: January 20, 2008 10:23:10 AM
Here is my own vcr tape purse.  I got the idea of this clutch bag from Recycle Cindy's crocheted clutch.  I just knit a rectangle in garter stitch, slip stitched the sides together, and made a double crochet scalloped border on the flap.  There are a few chain stitches separating the center flap to use as a buttonhole.  In the 1st picture I stuffed some white paper towels in it to try to show it up better.  (Actually, my mom helped me w/ the crocheting part & putting it together!)
