1  my grecian-inspired prom dress! (disasters included=]) in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by rainbowshoelaces on: May 09, 2008 02:10:22 PM
so i whipped this puppy out in about a week! =] i got a prom date in even less =] i dont have any pictures of the back, but i think you can get the jist of it. but i had some major disasters.
1. the first draft was waayyy too small, i couldnt even zip it!
2. it melted. =] i forgot it was polyester! oops! (the solution was the gather-y thingy in the front!)
3. the strap kept un-doing, so i had to sew it on me on the way to dinner! =]
4. the second draft was a little big, so it was safety pinned to my bra! lol.
but on to the pictures!

sorry! i forgot to rotate it! (and isnt my date cute??!)

me trying to hold up the strap! lol
what do you think?

5  pokemon shirt! in Stenciling: Completed Projects by rainbowshoelaces on: December 23, 2007 07:58:23 PM
my younger brother is really into pokemon, so i found the logo of it and put it onto a shirt for him. it took three layers, the inside blue part i cut out and stenciled first, then the yellow after that, and then the outside blue part. i mostly did the pokeball thing free hand, except for the outer circle. this took me most of the afternoon, but i   think it is well worth it! well, enough talk, here's the pics! tell me what you think!

the whole shirt

and a close up
thanks for looking!

7  fabric beads bracelet in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by rainbowshoelaces on: December 01, 2007 10:38:44 AM

the bigger, round beads are made with wooden beads covered in strips of fabric soaked in glue. the cylindrical ones are made with strips of fabric wrapped around a dowel and then fibers glued on to that, and then a wire with seed beads wrapped around that. I hope that this is the right board, because its not actually beads you would buy in a store! thanks for looking!(sorry its blurry!)

10  crochet and knit scarf! in Crochet: Completed Projects by rainbowshoelaces on: November 26, 2007 01:32:21 PM
this is my own design and pattern, and i am pretty proud of it. the edges are a little uneven, but i can live with that. i also haven't added fringe yet, and am debating on whether or not to do that. feedback would be nice!
