1  SEWING IN GENERAL / Machine Embroidery: Discussion and Questions / Re: Looking for FREE in the hoop projects on: October 13, 2010 01:06:07 PM
I found a basic pencil topper and snowman decoration here -

http://www.embroiderygarden.com/store/index.php?act=viewCat&catId=65

They also have loads of nice in the hoop designs for sale even just to give you an idea of what you can do in the hoop, for more adventurous designs try -

http://www.skeldalehouse.com/

i got loads of in the hoop free standing lace designs there, altho it will take you ages finding them all as they are all over the site.

Im looking for more designs, if anyone else finds any it would be good to have a list here for reference.
2  SEWING IN GENERAL / Machine Embroidery: Discussion and Questions / Help finding a emb des site on: October 13, 2010 03:13:27 AM
Im looking for a machine embroidery design site, I found it months ago when I was searching for freebies, but now that i actually want to spend some money on designs I cant find it!

This site had loads of kawaii style emb sets, and it was a non-english site, possibly german. I remember using google translate but there still being loads of non-english phrases in the pictures & buttons.

Anybody have any ideas?

That's cute. I am not going to google lemon party but can  you at least hint as to what it is? Is it bad, gross, rated R??? lol

Bad? - Yes, Gross? - Yes, Rated R? - I would say Rated X. The nicest way to describe it is - elderly men enjoying the company of elderly men. Im sure there is a market for that sort of thing but it is definitely not mainstream viewing!

lol, i knew somebody would search for it, and i take full responsibility for introducing you to it  Grin

Thank you Mandyhello, im downloading gimp and im loving that its free!!

I know exactly how you feel Tadiera, I love hand embroidering but i keep it for special projects now, since doing it on the machine takes no time at all it does feel like your cheating.

Im glad everybody liked it Cheesy

In a vain attempt to scrub the original lemon party image from my mind (DO NOT search for it if you've never see it!! Once you see it you cant unsee it!) and to test out my new embroidery machine I created this cute little embroidery.

It used Brother PE lite to digitize the design which turned out pretty messy (and noisy to embroider), can anybody recommend an easy to use, inexpensive digitizing software?

C & C always welcome.

Ive made some felty Shamrock pins for good luck on St Patricks Day  Grin

They're decorated with glass beads and have been stuffed with wool to make them a bit more 3D,
