121  Bunny Bowling in Amigurumi: Completed Projects by mamaedgar on: February 19, 2008 11:06:23 AM
I decided that it would be cute if you could bowl for bunnies!  i have a real bunny obsession lately!  My son also seems to have a bunny obsession, but he calls them hip-hippies instead of bunnies!  The bunnies are about 6 1/2" tall including ears and weighted at the bottom. I'm going to do a cream set next and use some gorgeous fabric i just picked up, for the ears!

I've been busy making these super soft cuddly critters!  I have been experimenting with different types of yarn ....... it's so much fun!  Also I decided to make some cards using images of these little guys!  You can see that here:

124  Sculpture Fibre Art in More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works by mamaedgar on: February 08, 2008 11:05:11 AM
This is my first time posting in this section (eeeek).  I've been doing art for over 10 years now, mostly acrylic painting.  I've taken many courses over the years as well as being privately tutored.  I decided a while ago to combine one of my favorite crafts (crochet) with my art and this is what was born. It's not how I intended it to turn out, so I trashed it, but I've learned a lot of lessons for my next one!  Let me know hwat you think... honestly.

125  Lino Carving Bunnies in Other Image Reproduction Techniques: Completed Projects by mamaedgar on: February 08, 2008 10:58:58 AM
I am not sure if this is the correct place to put this, there is no area for lino/block printing in the reproduction section.  I've decided to start caving more lino, and these little guys were a lot easier than i thought they'd be!!  This is my first set of "stencils".  They are from photographs of my crochet bunnies!  I hand painted the hearts!

126  "Here Fido!" Dog Pull Toy in Amigurumi: Completed Projects by mamaedgar on: January 13, 2008 12:21:47 AM
A long time ago I made a kitty pull toy, however it didn't actually pull due to crochet wheels.  Since then I've bought wooden wheels!  Here is my first doggie pull toy!  I'm very proud of him!!!  But he took FOREVER to finish!  I am going to make some more soon.  They are lots of fun, though I'm not sure how functional they will be as an actual toy, might just be a display item.

128  Re: Monica Brown Cropped Cardigan in Crochetalongs by mamaedgar on: January 05, 2008 12:29:33 PM
As of last night my cardigan is done!!  The butons look a bit wonky in this photo, but you get the idea.  I changed the pattern a bit, if you want to know more you can visit my post of the project:

129  50's Cropped Cardigan in Crochet: Completed Projects by mamaedgar on: January 05, 2008 12:15:32 PM
So I started making the Monica Brown Cropped Cardigan, but didn't like the shell stitch, so I replaced it with puff stitches, and this is how it turned out!  Also the shell stitch didn't go with my fantastic buttons!  I'm really happy with how it fits; the 50's flared style.  Now I just need to get some cute long sleeved tops to wear under it! and maybe a cute pencil skirt!

Here is the original pattern:

130  Funny Noise Makers in Winter Holidays by mamaedgar on: January 04, 2008 07:45:11 PM
So for my little New Year's party I had to get noise makers.  At the dollar store all they had was ugly pirate ones (beleive me, if they were cool pirate ones I would have left them as is, but these were UGLY!!), but I bought them anyways.  Whn I got home, I decided to throw some stickers on them, and here's what you get!

This is what they say: all snuggles, tiny bubbles, rubber duckie sweetie, cute toothless joy, chubby chld binky, drool itty bitty  (all i had was baby related words!)
