1  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Re: here a frey, there a frey, everywhere a frey! frey! on: August 21, 2004 08:33:30 PM
thanks for the help, i'll really have to try this out.

i'm a little nervous because i've never messed with more than two different stitches. but i guess this'll be as good a practice as any. i'll have to work it out on some scrap thread first.

thanks again, and i'll try to post when (and if) i ever get this finished.

maybe i'll sound a little new to this.. and maybe it'll sound a little silly.. but i've searched high and low all over craftster, to no avail.

SOOOOMEEBOOODY HELLLPP!!!!!

*wipes forehead* phew.. .. okay, that said, here is my question:

i'm working on this patchwork skirt. your general squared-off, stereotypical hippy skirt. very basic. i've done it before. but i hate hate HATE the way they frey on the inside. i don't have a serger and using frey-stop gets scratchies all over my poor little legs. ..so, what should i do? should i just line the entire skirt? i'd really rather not so that it can be light for those hot summer days. i could fold the hem under, i guess.. but is there an easier, less time consuming answer to my dilemma?

somebody, please rescue me from the depths of frey-hell.

you seem to have so many great tutorials on crafster that so many people are pleased with.
but, somehow, photobucket tells me that your photos exceed bandwidth.
 Sad
maybe it's a problem on my end.
but i just wanted to say congrats on the work that i assume is really great!

that's honestly fantastic.
i'm usually not into this scrap work style. but it's really great.
i think it's the piping that pulls it together.
