Made this necktie with Rainbow Incredible using a sc throughout. Looks just like a tie with one end narrow and the other end wide. So many talented Crocheters here ... Thank you for taking a look and have a great day everyone. Cari

5  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Re: Crochet Wire Beade Bracelet for Halloween on: October 08, 2009 03:40:26 PM
I've always thought it would be fun to try crocheting wire.  What gauge wire do you usually use, with what size of hook?

I used 26 gauge and a 3.50mm steel hook.

Thanks everyone for the super comments... Crocheting with wire and beads... the possibilities are endless.

Have a super day everyone, Cari
6  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Crochet Wire Beade Bracelet for Halloween on: October 08, 2009 09:28:40 AM
This Halloween crochet wire beaded bracelet is handcrafted with Orange, Black and Clear Black lined seed beads. Adjustable to fit sizes 6-8. The toggle clasp is sterling silver and the wire is non-tarnishing silver, no need to worry about cleaning the bracelet. Also the charm is removeable.

7  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Re: How did you learn to crochet? Where should I start? I need a lot of help! on: July 21, 2008 01:38:43 PM
Hi... I taught myself about 8 years ago... and I just can't put the hook down!  lol  I also taught a beginning Crochet class at Michaels for about 3 years. When I was learning I went here-

http://www.crochet-world.com/stitch_guide.html

Not only do you see instructions with illustrations, you can watch the stitch in the making... just click the Q Time clip... everything you need all on one page.  And the best thing of all is... you can watch the clip as many times as you need to.

Hope this helps ... try not to get discouraged... you'll pick it up in no time... then you can tell me the best way to wash the dishes without putting your hook down..  LOL  Good Luck!  Cari
