1  Re: The Beginner's Top-Down Raglan (patt. incl.) in Knitalongs by Kexe on: August 05, 2008 09:36:14 AM
My first finished sweater Cheesy

I discarded the first one I was working on and started this instead. Much more me.
It's made of black, gold and three different browns in a very random stripey pattern. Mostly acrylic, but also some merino wool. Hope it will survive if I stick to hand washing.

The edges are just garter stitch. The neckline looks a bit funny in this picture, but it's alright.
I like my new sweater Smiley "Too bad" I'll be going to Turkey for a week and won't be able to wear it Wink

It actually fits so far, so I'm happy. This is so easy! Cheesy

3  Experimental socks with vertical stripes in Knitting: Completed Projects by Kexe on: July 05, 2008 10:11:56 AM
I decided it was time that I invented a pair of socks - this is the result:

From the side:
front:

and bottom:
As you can probably tell, they don't make a perfect couple, because I managed to make the stripes match up better on the second one than on the first.
But I really like them. They are very comfortable and fit my pointy feet very nicely.

4  Buccaneer's Booty socks + link to pattern in Knitting: Completed Projects by Kexe on: July 03, 2008 06:03:02 AM
Sorry for the links instead of pictures - it's only my second post  Roll Eyes

Pattern found at http://www.craftydiversions.com/patterns/buccaneers%20booty.htm

I obviously used different colours (am waiting for some nicer yarn in the mail).
In addition to that I put a skull on each heel flap.
