...Did you use a pattern? and what kind of material is it? stretchy or not?

i used simplicity pattern 5112. The material is just a normal print you would get, kninda cottony not stretchy though.

This is my first ever party dress and i Made for my sister! I think it turned out pretty good and I can't wait to make more for myself.

Look at this awesome 50's sewing book I found at a used book store! YEAH! It has tells you how to make this gathered skirt, which i think i will try out, hehe.

do you have a tutorial, i would like to make one too!

it is Mccalls 4306, veiw A. I really didnt follow instructions though, just cut out the pieces and sewed them up. I already knew how to do zippers and hems so i winged it.

I don't think it matters what kind of zine you do because all zines are creative! So anything and everything!

eeee I just finished this skirt. I love love love it because it fits well and flows good. I added a lacey trim at the end, my first ever. This is the 3rd skirt I have made from this pattern.

wow you did a great job on the skirt. I am afraid though, about it being too see through. what color should I use. is there a way to make the lighter colors not so see through. thanks
