61  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Twilight Replica Book on: November 11, 2008 08:25:17 AM
I guess this counts as a trinket right? I recently found some small wooden books at a thrift store. I thought they were perfect for making mini replicas of my latest favorite book (soon to be released movie!) Twilight. I painted the book and decoupaged an image of the book on it. It turned out pretty cute, I thought!

Thanks for looking!
C & C always welcome!  Cheesy
62  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Vintage Pillowcase into tote/purse on: November 03, 2008 08:13:57 AM
I made this tote/purse awhile ago out of a vintage pillowcase and green and white gingham fabric I had laying around. The lace is original to the pillowcase. I kinda liked how it looked, so I left it on there.

I thought it would make a great green shopping bag as well as a purse.

Comments and constructive criticism always welcome.
63  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / wine accessories and pinup paperweight on: November 03, 2008 08:01:34 AM
I love me some wine!  Grin I made some wine accessories awhile ago and thought I would share pics!

Wine Bottle cover:

Wine Glass Charms:

Hubby and I are currently attempting to make wine out of wild grapes that were growing on my parents land. I can't wait to see how it turns out!

I am adding this paperweight in this post too. Not sure where else it would go. I used a candle plate and resin and a pinup pic to make the paperweight. I am thinking about making more. This one turned out really neat!

Comments and constructive criticism welcome.
64  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Key to Peace and Love & Team Edward! (Multiple Pics) on: October 31, 2008 10:18:55 AM
This is my most recent two. I also did one with an owl but forgot to take pics of it before it sold.  Embarrassed It was really cute too! Anywho, here they are:

1st one: I call this one the key to peace and love!

2nd one: This one is semi-inspired by the Twilight series Bella bracelet, but just the Edward part! (Go Team Edward!)  Kiss

P.S. Sorry for the blurry and multiple pics! I had to use my Mom's camera and I could not get it to cooperate!

Comments and constructive criticism always welcome!
65  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Polka Dot Fever on: April 25, 2008 06:48:34 PM
I had this cute brown and white polka dot fabric in my stash and finally made it into stuff.

First, a Hobo style purse:

I also make a zippered make-up bag. I'm still a little shaky on using zippers, but not too shabby:

Closeup of fun zipper pull I made:

Whaddya think?
66  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Jewelry Overload! (Pic overload too!) on: April 25, 2008 05:58:12 PM
I've been making jewelry like a mad woman lately.
Some resin stuff:

I call this one leaves on the water:

Copper and Bead Bracelet:

I call this cell phone charm "Why is the rum gone?""

Pink Flamingo necklace:

I've made jewelry before but this is my first adventure with resin. The leaf one did get bubbles in it, but I thought it was fitting with the floating leaf in water thing. What do you guys think?
67  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Weddings and Bridal Showers / Input on my wedding ideas (image heavy) **UPDATE** Pictures pg 6** on: January 10, 2008 09:59:25 AM
I just got engaged on December 22! Yay!! We are getting married on August 16, 2008. Not a huge amount of time to plan, but doable. I already have loads of ideas and plan on doing most things myself (with my mom's help). I have picked colors. The inspiration comes from hydrangeas:

I found a great idea for a candy bar that matched my colors:

My future sister-in-law is also very crafty (She works for Creative Memories) and she made a save the date/announcement for us.

I also want to use those blue/green ball jars on the tables somehow as centerpieces. I'm not sure how I'm doing that yet.

I'm looking for any sort of input or ideas you might have. I need all the help I can get!  Smiley
68  FIBER ARTS / Felting: Discussion and Questions / best places to buy wool for felting? on: October 15, 2007 01:44:06 PM
Hey everyone! I just recently started needle felting and I wondered if y'all had some suggestions on the best places to find wool. I found some at my local Hobby Lobby, but they had a really poor selection. Thanks!
