I got some more done today and couldn't resist sharing! Grin I just wish they would show up in pictures better.  Angry I managed to get 90 some done. It just doesn't look like that many alltogether.

Can I just say I love Dollar Tree!!! I went there on a whim the other day and found a ton of cool stuff. Most notably, they had bags of the glass marbles for $1! YAY!! I had an idea to glue fun words and stuff on the back and spread those very sparingly (just cause they take so long to make a bunch!) on either side of each centerpieces in lieu of traditional confetti. It was hard to get a picture to do them justice, but here's a few for example:

I also found some great flowers that don't look horribly fake for only being a dollar.

I am super excited to finally feel like I'm getting something done!

Those are awesome Banga! Nice job to TheBon! Okay, so here's my latest attempt. I really liked Matuta's redesign, but still feel simpler is better. Not sold on these exact colors yet. I am still playing around with the tinting. But I like the overall effect of it.

What do you guys think?

Thanks! Do you think the initials still look okay with couple or is it out of place? Here's a version with a more art deco font, but I'm worried about it not being easy to read.

I'm just not a huge fan of the graphic on the first one, but I agree that the second one is too simple. I've been playing around with it some more and came up with two other options. My FH and I really like the song "We Danced" by Brad Paisley since we became friends when he taught me to jitterbug. Smiley We were thinking of doing a semi-themed wedding around that and making cds as favors. So I tried a dancing couple on one. And of course hydrangeas! What do you think of the new ones?

P.S. the font of the invitation itself isn't the right one, still looking for something I really like.

Okay, so I started to work on invitations. I came up with two different ones and would like opinions. I'm not crazy about the first one, but the second one seems very simple. What do you think?

Oh, it added extra white space on the side of this one when I saved the file as a JPEG, but is regular invitation size without that space.

Also, this one got blurry a bit

I decided to join in. We are getting married on August 16, 2008. Between my mom and I we hope to craft almost everything for it. My list includes:

Save the date cards done by my future sister-in-law:

Get dress bought at david's (not that crafty!) Wink

Couldn't resist one more pic:

veil
shoes?
invitations/rsvp cards
centerpieces
bridesmaid gifts (I want to make tote bags with their first name on it and pack it full of goodies including a mixed cd)
favors
headbands for flower girls
baskets for flower girls
additional decorations

That's all I can think of for now. I'm sure I'll come up with more!
My future sister-in-law also made me a great binder for everything so hopefully it will keep me organized!  Wink

Hopefully I can get everything done!

Thanks for all the suggestions! I did manage to pick up some stuff on Christmas clearance. I got 10 balls that look like they have a billion pearls glued on them. They look cooler than they sound! Smiley Not sure what I'm going to do with them yet, but I think they fit in well with the whole shabby-chic eclectic thing I have going on.
Here's a pic:

What does everyone think is the best option for invitations? I am in law school so I'm very busy. Not sure how much time I have to spend on them, but want to stay fairly inexpensive.

199  Input on my wedding ideas (image heavy) **UPDATE** Pictures pg 6** in Weddings and Bridal Showers by ehinders on: January 10, 2008 09:59:25 AM
I just got engaged on December 22! Yay!! We are getting married on August 16, 2008. Not a huge amount of time to plan, but doable. I already have loads of ideas and plan on doing most things myself (with my mom's help). I have picked colors. The inspiration comes from hydrangeas:

I found a great idea for a candy bar that matched my colors:

My future sister-in-law is also very crafty (She works for Creative Memories) and she made a save the date/announcement for us.

I also want to use those blue/green ball jars on the tables somehow as centerpieces. I'm not sure how I'm doing that yet.

I'm looking for any sort of input or ideas you might have. I need all the help I can get!  Smiley

Great job on the pants Liberry!
Here's some of the promised pics of She-Ra in progress:

My inspiration:

My dress so far (it still needs wings on the top and a belt):

My headpiece was made from a foam crown I cut to shape. I glued wings on the side and spray painted the whole thing gold. Then I glued the jewel on the front.

P.S. Sorry for the bad self portrait!  Wink

And finally, the sword was a cheapy from Walmart I spray painted gold and glued more jewels on.

Does anyone have ideas on how to get the belt to work? I'm not sure whether to just fabric glue it on or make it a working belt.
