Thanks so much babalina! I'll have to post some action pics in about a month from now. Wink

I received two packages this week! First, my swiffer covers from spolowitz. She also sent me this super cute tote bag.

I also received from baa-me-chick. She sent lemongrass soap (which smells delish by the way), goats milk and brown sugar soap, mint chocolate lip balm, cherry lip balm with vitamin E:

She also sent a bunch of paper ephemera including some great gas ration coupons and watch parts for making steampunk jewelry!

Thanks so much spolowitz and baa-me-chick! I got spoiled with these last two packages!  Grin

124  Granny Square "Doily" in Crochet: Completed Projects by ehinders on: February 15, 2010 01:29:57 PM
I started this project about 5 years ago! I originally thought it would be awesome to crochet my mom a tablecloth, but then I got realistic and decided to do a large doily instead. I finally finished it last night.

It's made with variegated cotton yarn. I still need to block it a bit, but otherwise, I'm pretty happy with how it turned out.

C & C always welcome!

125  Re: Altering Paper Crafts Supply Swap Gallery in The Swap Gallery by ehinders on: February 12, 2010 03:01:52 PM
I got my awesome package from Mrs.LindsayLoo in the mail today. She put a lot of random neat stuff in there. I tried to group it together as best I can, but I still ended up with lots of pics!  Grin

First up: really awesome fabric scraps including some batiks (colors way better in person!), faux leopard print,  embroidered patches and tulle!

Next was some misc. cutouts from children's books, a postcard and glittery cupcake iron-ons! (I'm so excited for these!!)

Chinese newspaper, rubber stamp, adjustable stamp with different words (believe, wish, love, etc), letter stickers, pretty gold paper, etc.

German gramme book, insect book and a canvas that's been altered. It has a woman in the corner and various words randomly placed (words are all related to red)

And finally, scrapbooking paper!

There was so much cute stuff in here! I can't wait to start using some. My favorites are the cupcake iron-ons and the red canvas. Thanks Mrs.LindsayLoo!

127  Monopoly Game Piece Charm Bracelet in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by ehinders on: December 31, 2009 01:08:26 PM
I made this charm bracelet out of vintage monopoly game pieces. I used my dremel to drill holes in for the findings. What do you think?

Also, what do you think of my new "hand model"?  Wink I bought the hand statute on sale at Marshalls. Love it!

C & C always welcome!

128  Screen-Printed Pillow in Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General by ehinders on: December 21, 2009 12:27:18 PM
I made this pillow recently out of a cotton linen fabric. I had bought some of Plaid's Simply Screen products, and I have to say, I'm a big fan. Screen printing without the expensive equipment! The only downfall of course, is you are stuck with using their available designs. Anywho... Here's the pillow:

close-up of the chandelier:

Whaddya think? I'm going to try to screen on canvas next for some awesome wall art.

129  More Silverware Necklaces in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by ehinders on: December 15, 2009 09:56:38 AM
Here's two more silverware pieces I did recently.

First, I flattened a spoon end and hand stamped the word "HOPE" on it:

Here's a view of the whole thing:

I also made a pendant using the handle of a spoon. It's very art deco style:

View with the snake chain:

I plan on making more of the serving spoon bracelets after Christmas. I have to finish up my present making first! Wink

C and C always welcome!

130  Stamped Tile Coasters in Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General by ehinders on: December 03, 2009 02:47:53 PM
I found a tute for these somewhere in blogland but can't remember exactly where (if someone knows, please post a link!)

I made coasters out of stone tiles (bought at Menards in a pack of Cool, a rubber stamp, some ink, clear sealer spray and felt.

It's pretty self explanatory: stamp the image you want on the tile, let it dry. Spray with sealer, let it dry. Put felt (I used the self sticking furniture circles from the hardware store) on the bottom to protect the furniture and you're done!

Sorry the pics are kinda yellow...flash went out in my camera!

C & C always welcome!
